I know he ate the still lives but they arent technically people, personally I think this started with Bobby (provided by captain Clark maybe?) given that might have been the only source of food at first, then maybe Kat tried to leave because of how batshit crazy that was and that’s when she was eaten by captain Clark (and possibly Clark) maybe that’s how the severed hand ended up at the pots sign and that’s when Clark left the backrooms to call Mary?

Also was Clark shitting in the backrooms? Or did bro scurry out into the store to do allat?

Of these two and their abilities who do yall think would win in a 1 on 1?

Could there be a still life of the chairman? Or do yall think he was eaten already by some other monster or just not made at all?

So I believe that captain Clark wasn’t trying to kill Mary BECAUSE think abt it he chased her and did rush down the halls to her but what did he do when he finally got to her???? He was walking slowly and not running at her and immediately eating her like he did with Bobby and Clark he didn’t waste time but why the sudden change with Mary?
I believe it ties back to the painting on the wall and the possibility of Clark possibly communicating with the backrooms, we truly don’t understand what went on with Clark and the backrooms given he could have been in there for who knows how long because of the way time works in the backrooms, maybe the backrooms is telling him to paint some of it? Maybe it’s revealing the future to Clark and that’s what drove him mad? And in the painting captain Clark raises someone up and I think that it was Mary because look what is in the hands of the drawing, it to me atleast resembles the coat hanger Mary fights captain clark with at the ending, and at the ending captain clark doesn’t attack Mary when he’s over her, he didn’t fight back when she smacked him in the head with a rock EVEN THOUGH DOING SO WOULD HAVE BEEN EASY IF HE WANTED TO HARM OR KILL HER and when we see him reaching for her in the crawlspace we get that moment where Mary looks at him one last time and her expression goes from fear to almost sympathy or pity for captain Clark.

Also second theory captain clark didn’t hurt her because Clark didn’t want to hurt her and maybe because she’s the only person he seems to have confided in he viewed her with importance and because captain Clark is a scan of his brain he might have a soft spot for her or maybe he recognized her.

Also idk if my theory makes sense I got baked and went into theory mode ill check in the morning if my rambling held up 🙌
