Bipolar 2 diagnosis

Just got a referral letter from my psychologist to send through to the psychiatrist I'm seeing next week. I've been struggling for 21 years. Never had money for mental health care...I'm 37 and finally found a way to get help.

The referral letter states I'm presenting with:

  1. Pervasive depressive mood

  2. Suicidal ideation and plan but no intent ATM

  3. Insomnia

  4. Anhedonia

  5. Social isolation

  6. Fatigue

  7. Anxiety attacks

  8. Rumination

  9. A history of elevaged mood and goal directed activity

  10. A background of severe psychosocial stressors

Psychologist says although it's a working diagnosis, it's Bipolar 2 with comorbidities.

Is this concerning at all? Look, my life is falling apart because I'm so depressed I've been booked off from work for the first time in my life. And for the first time I couldn't care less. I honestly cannot function at work. I'm a teacher as it's so exhausting having to hold it together and crack jokes when I feel nothing inside.

Looking at the info, can anyone relate with the same symptoms and how severe my potential battle is going to be? Being me, I need to know every detail or else the anxiety and rumination take over. I'm assuming I have quite a severe case as it's gone undiagnosed and medicated incorrectly for 20 years.

Glad to be getting the proper help though!

Are the crystals just doing their job?

Hi. So I need to advice on whether my current circumstances are based on crystals that I purchased about 3 weeks ago.

I work in an extremely toxic environments and I purchased some crystals for protection and I've been back at work for two weeks. For the first almost two weeks everything was super peaceful and then suddenly it's as though the s\*\*\* storm landed.

The colleague I thought was my best friend proved herself overnight to be manipulative. It's as though I was in a trans because I never noticed that she was using me for the position I'm in which is a position higher than hers. I jad two random colleagues, one being a manager, discuss the issue with me, informing me that she is clearly manipulating me. It also came to light that she's been lying to me and she has not being doing her job properly.

Things came to a climax tonight when I finally sent her a message telling her to respect my boundaries, to stop sending me messages in the middle of the night regarding work, and to respect me as a senior. Needless to say this collegial friendship is over. This is never being an issue before and I never even noticed that she was manipulating me.

I can't help but wonder if it is because of the crystals I decided to start wearing. I'm wearing a clear quartz around my neck. On my left wrist I'm wearing a bracelets with Malachite, hematite and obsidian and also a citrine bracelet. On my right wrist I'm wearing a protection bracelet consisting of tiger's eye hematite and obsidian. I also west the rough hematite and tourmaline stone on my chest on a daily basis. I've heard before that some of these stones can bring out truth and remove the negative people from your life and I'm wondering if this is in fact what is happening.

Batteries keep dying!

Hi there. Super weird, but wondering if it's a sign or a coincidence.

The day before yesterday my keyboard at work stopped working because the batteries were dead. Yesterday morning I couldn't open the gate because the remote battery died overnight. This morning I got on the scale and it went off after a few seconds...battery dead!

Am I being superstitious/hypomanic or is the universe trying to tell me something?

What colours do you see?

Can someone please have a look at my aura colours and let me know what you see? I'm trying to open myself up to seeing aura colours but I'm having such a hard time. I can see the white energy fields very easily though. Any tips would be appreciated!

Please excuse the Sunday hair. I'm still in my pajamas!

How did I know these people had just died when I wasn't even near?

It happened twice when I was young.

First time: My aunt was diagnosed with cancer and fought for 2 years. My sister and I were still quite young (me around 10/11) and we spent the night at my other aunt's home while my parents were with aunt M. We were in the TV rooming watching a soap opera and I remember turning to my aunt and telling her, very matter of factly, that my aunt had just passed away. My parents called within a few minutes to tell us it had happened.

Second time: I was a bit older (around 15). My parents had a friend who suddenly got really ill. I remember us visiting him and I smelled what I immediately identified as death. Never even crossed my mind that it's weird to know what death smells like. The next evening my mom was in the kitching cooking dinner and I remember walking up to her, once again very relaxed, informing her that he had just passed away. My mom was quite upset that I would dare say something like that until the phone rang moments later. He was dead as a doornail.

The following things make it weirder:

  1. When saying this, I remember having no emotion. You'd think someone who knows a person passed away would be anxious or upset. Nope, not me. It's like I mentioned that it was raining. Very unlike me.

  2. I didn't have a special connection with either of them. We didn't see my aunt regularly especially towards the end as she was so ill. And honestly the friend was just some old guy.

I'm 37 now and it's never happened again. It's still such a puzzle in my life.

Anybody else experienced this or perhaps knows why this could have happened? Could this have been a form of telepathy?

Getting bullied by a mob at work for actually being a good employee

I've been working at a school for just over 2 years. Since day 1 the environment has been very negative with teachers gossiping and forming little clicques. This honestly never bothered me as I just do my work. The issue is that I actually do my work whereas they go against management in every aspect and purposely don't want to do what is asked. I get along very well with the principal and his wife as we have the same work ethic. By doing my work I stand out from the rest and I get treated with constant respect. They definitely don't like that.

Another issue is that I decided to stand up for someone they were trashing. During break one day they were completely ripping apart a principal of a neighbouring school, talking about his affair with a teacher and how fat he's son is while laughing their asses off. I straight up told them I will investigate the matter and come back with the facts as what they're doing is unprofessional and simply vile. I actually then spoke to a close friend of his and as expected it was all made up which I then told them.

Since that day they've been trying to make my life hell in a not so subtle way. The group (about 5 women and 1 guy) will sit in the staffroom and when I sit down they collectively get up and walk out or when I enter the room they all keep quiet until I leave. I found this quite funny because of the childishness but here's the thing: I'm head of department and one teacher literally does NOTHING. He doesn't mark tests and simply gives ghost marks. He lies. He doesn't even stand up to teach. Just sits in his chair and plays on his laptop. As his HOD I have no other option but to keep record of everything and he has received 2 formal written warnings. Clearly he told the group because they are all gunning me, making me out to be this evil b*tch who is trying to get him fired. Please note that this is not the case. I am simply doing my job.

I'm quite strong mentally and I have a FU attitude towards them, but the negative energy constantly being sent my way is draining me. It's coming from all sides. I believe that thoughts affects a person. I'm being attacked by negativity on a daily basis for 8 hours straight.

I understand that they find someone who agrees with management and actually does their work to be a "rebel", but why am I being outcast for doing the right thing? Am I actually wrong?

Any recommendations? I'm thinking of finding another job, but then they win....
