Tips for recording with a mask?

Pretty much what the title says.

For the last year or so, I've been recording all of my video while wearing a mask as I don't want to show my face. While obviously it affected my audio, I never thought it was too major and I never got any complaints about it.

Fast forward to now, and my last two videos have both had tons of comments complaining about the mask saying it's ruining my audio. I'm a little stuck, because I know my audio is bad (it's really quiet no matter what I do even though it's at the recommend lufs and max peak-all being recorded on a quality mic and interface) but that has nothing to do with the mask (I've recorded audio without the mask for testing purposes and run into the same volume issue).

A lot of people seem to think there's no way to get good audio while wearing a mask, but tons of YouTubers/steamers have done it (kwite, memeulous, ranboo, swagger souls). So, clearly it's possible, I'm just doing something wrong.

Any help/tips would be appreciated

A random lofi song I used to listen to on SoundCloud

I'm trying to find a song I used to listen to on SoundCloud around 2022. It was by a smaller artist who I don't remember the name of. The song was a lofi rap song and I think that it may have used a sample. The song was titled something along the lines of "our story" and the lyrics were something like "I've been looking back and thinking bout our story" or "I've been driving round our neighborhood thinking bout our story" there are other lyrics where the singer (who's singing to his ex) asks about her dad and the new meds he started and something about her sibling (I think). That's about all I can remember.

It was stylistically similar to "I Tried Everything" by Foster and "To You, From Me" by Naethan Apollo. It was slow in tempo and had a very spoken word delivery, almost closer to talking than rapping. It was essentially about the artist remenescing on his relationship with his ex and asking about how she and her family are doing now, hence, "thinking bout our story." The artist was male and sounded younger, probably late teens or early twenties. I don't remember much about the cover photo on SoundCloud but I think it used yellow as it's primary color.

I've been looking for this song for the last 2 years since a glitch deleted my SoundCloud playlist, so any help would be appreciated.

I should probably throw out that I am aware that if this song did use a sample, that there's a good chance it was taken down for copyright purposes or was just deleted in general. But at the very least, it hasn't been deleted at the time my playlist glitched in ~2024

MikeWitness?

I've noticed there are quite a few variations of theories in which a character witnesses one of Williams murders (most commonly BVWitness under BVRunaway). But one I haven't seen is the theory that Michael witnessed the murders. We see in the FNAF 2 Foxy Go! Go! Go! minigame that Foxy seems to witness the MCI, and Foxy is known to represent Michael.

Similarly, we see in the SaveThem minigame that Mangle is already moving around during the DCI, and the sprite is in the files as hewashere. Now, Mangle does use both he and she pronouns, but I would say they are more commonly grouped in with the female animatronics (like being apart of the "Ladies Night" preset). So, what if this file name isn't talking about the actual Mangle animatronic? After all, we know Mangle to be a variation of Foxy. What if this is meant to represent that Michael witnessed the DCI? What if *he* was there.

Finally (or firstly, if we're going chronologically), under the MikeRunaway theory, you could also argue that Michael witnessed the murder of Charlie. This would mean that Michael directly witnessed every major murder William commits in the franchise. What I'm stuck on is this theories greater implication, what would this really mean for the story? I guess it could be used as evidence for some variation of MikeAccomplice, but outside of that I don't really know what we would learn from this.

Any thoughts?
