need advice about what approach i should use

problem/goal: i found out my mom has kabit.

context: i came to know that my mom has this guy who kept messaging her and with all the words i read, pretty sure may relasyon sila. though very limited lang ang messages since dinelete na ng mom ko ang previous convo and the guy kept messaging her pa rin.

i really wanna know up to what extent their relationship is/was and did my mom commit adulterous act behind my late father.

previous attempt: i tried to block him and unfriend using my mom’s fb acc pero baka malaman ng mom ko na i am rummaging thru her phone and messages. i’m planning to use dump acc to message the guy but i don’t know kung anong pagpapapanggap ang gawin ko to extract out infos.

ps don’t mind my flair hehe

should i choose the leniency of my job?

hi! f(24) and currently working in a corporate job for almost a year and my salary is just so-so. what i just like in this job is the company leniency, like whenever i am done with my assigned task, i can just do whatever i want (i’m also having side hustles from outside clients) so my salary + side hustle could manage to live me off.

recently, i decided to enroll in law school albeit the schedules are night classes, my salary is tight to meet the demands of tuition.

i have lot of job openings in governments ( since i have my eligibility din) and the salary offer is somewhat higher than my current salary.

now i’m torn. if i am going to pursue a gov’t job, i'm worried i'd be giving up one of the best parts of my current job-the flexibility. i don't know what it's really like working in government. are they strict about office hours? would they be understanding if you're a law student? is it realistic to survive law school while working there? i also know i'd probably have to let go of my side hustles, which are a big part of how i stay afloat financially

drained with whys

i’m the youngest of three siblings. ever since i was young, i’ve been painfully aware of other people’s feelings. i read the room before anyone says a word. i notice discomfort, tension, exhaustion, sadness—things others seem to miss. sometimes i wish i am selfish. maybe then i wouldn’t carry everyone else’s burdens as if they were my own.

my father died during the pandemic. it was one of the darkest periods of our lives. my mother didn’t know anything about funeral arrangements, government assistance, or the paperwork that follows death. i went out and figured everything out on my own. i processed everything—applied for assistance, and made sure my father was laid to rest and we can grieve peacefully.

somewhere in the middle of all that, i was clinically diagnosed with PDD. i never told anyone, meds became my engine.
i never complained. as long as my mother got better, i thought it would all be worth it.

one night, i came home completely drained.

i had spent the entire day standing in long lines for medical assistance, calling doctors, coordinating with the hospital, and trying to arrange her blood transfusion schedule— i did it during my breaks and while i’m in my corporate work. i was physically exhausted and mentally worn out.

yet i still showed up.

i still went to fetch my brother from the airport because my other sibling didn’t want to.

before leaving, i gave my mother paracetamol for her fever. she never likes taking medicine, but i insisted because her temperature was high. i had already consulted her doctor regarding what medications were safe for her to take to ease her symptoms.
i waited over an hour at the airport for a brother who had no sense of urgency and no respect for other people’s time.

we got home around 12:30 in the morning.

the moment i arrived, my mother pointed at me and said:

“Ikaw ang papatay sa akin.”

she said the paracetamol made her feel drowsy and sweaty and that her body wasn’t receptive to it. i don’t think she realizes what those words did to me.
to spend months carrying responsibilities that should have been shared by all of us, to lose sleep, to sacrifice time, energy, and pieces of myself trying to keep her alive—and then hear those words from the person I was trying hardest to save—it felt like the last thread holding me together finally snapped.

i cried silently that night.

the next morning, i said nothing. i went to work like a machine. i still arranged appointments. i still checked referrals. i still coordinated medical concerns.

because even when i’m hurt, things still need to get done.

then, halfway through my day, i received messages from my siblings.

they called me a b*tch for being cold that morning.

my sister said that if had been awake, she should have slapped me.

they told me my mother had been crying because of my attitude.

they said she had already told my aunt about it, and now my aunt was angry at me too.

according to them, i was the one causing stress.

Me. the one who stayed. the one who carried everything. the one who never left. the one who kept showing up. mind u, i broke up with my bf because she didn’t like him for me and i don’t want to add up to her stress and yet, i am still to blame about the stress. that’s what hurts the most— not the exhaustion.

it’s realizing that the people you would move mountains for can watch you drown and still blame you for the water.

bakit?
