My son (3 years old) was born in the UK, just completed his naturalization, and received his certificate of naturalization. Both parents are still on ILR. He holds an Indian passport.

We want to get his UK passport done ASAP as we have travel plans in August and September. Because we were unsure when the naturalization would finish, we applied for a Schengen visa as part of our travel plans and submitted our Indian passports for stamping.

after reading online forums and the UK gov website, I believe we need to submit the current original passport as part of the supporting documents.

Can anyone confirm this? Will a scanned copy of the passport work or do we need to submit the original?

Since we are unsure how long the Schengen application will take, we haven’t submitted the British passport application yet.

Does anyone know when appointments open up for a Portugal Schengen tourist visa at VFS London? I have been checking for three weeks now and have not found a single slot.

My trip is planned for the first week of September, but the free cancellation deadline is the first week of August.

We are planning our son’s third birthday party in June. We plan to have the party in our garden with around 25 guests (10 children and 15 adults). We would like some suggestions about where to rent chairs and tables. Additionally do you have any ideas for hiring party games or entertainment for the kids?
