Can I use someone else's card for the Play Console registration fee if my developer account and verification are in my name?
I'm about to create my first Google Play Console developer account.
I don't have a debit/credit card that supports international payments, so I'm planning to use a friend's card to pay the one-time Play Console registration fee.
The developer account itself will be in my name, and if Google asks for identity or address verification, I'll submit my own documents (government ID and a broadband bill in my name).
A few questions:
- Is it okay if the registration fee is paid using someone else's card?
- Will Google only verify my identity and address, or will they also check that the payment card belongs to me?
- Has anyone here passed Play Console verification after paying the registration fee with a family member's or friend's card?
- After the registration fee is paid, can the payment method be removed from Google Payments?
I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through this process recently.
