here is a pic of AOR 2
Hey everyone,
Just needed to get this off my chest.
I’m in my early 20s and was living in New York when this all went down. A few months ago I got insanely lucky with meme coins. Caught a couple of early plays that went absolute nuclear. Turned a small bag into more money than I’ve ever seen in my life. Felt like a genius. Screenshots everywhere, telling myself I’d finally “made it” while living in one of the most expensive cities in the world.
Then the classic happens.
Instead of taking profits and walking away, I started looking for the next high. Ended up googling online casinos, found one that looked legit enough, deposited a big chunk… and proceeded to lose almost everything trying to “double it” or “just get back to even.”
At first it was fun. Big wins, big dopamine. Then the losses started stacking. I kept depositing more of the meme-coin profits, telling myself one more session would fix it. Spoiler: it didn’t.
Now the money from the coins is gone, the casino balance is gone, and I’m sitting here at absolute zero. Have to start all over again from scratch in my early 20s, after tasting what felt like freedom for a short moment.
I’m not looking for pity or financial advice. Just sharing because maybe someone else is in that same headspace right now — young, living in a big city, sitting on big meme gains and thinking a casino is a good place to “grow” them. It’s not.
Take the win. Cash out. Touch grass. Don’t do what I did.
That’s it.
Is it worth moving to San Francisco? I’m 22 years old. My current salary is $120k 60 hour week , I have $65k saved, and I currently work in NYC. I’ve received a job offer for $90k with a 45-hour workweek. I’ve always hated NYC the weather, the rats , and the housing market. My question is it worth giving up $30k a year for nicer weather, a cleaner city, and a better housing market?
