Hey folks,

Brooks Bounty looks like an incredibly boring, safe agricultural hub on the surface. But it comes with an underground twist! If the players reach the basement, they will land in a flooded and dangerous cave system.

How to run the trap:

1. Let the party arrive, get drunk, and rent a room. Play the innkeeper completely straight.
2. During the night, let the high-perception characters hear moving water echoing from beneath the floorboards.
3. When they inevitably investigate the basement, they lose all their surface tactical advantages. Ranged characters lose line of sight around the jagged cave walls, and melee fighters are forced to wade through water (difficult terrain) to reach the hidden shrine.
