Bookfusion Confusion

So far, loving bookfusion, but at an absolute loss on something: when you go to browse books in the plugin and see things like "currently reading" or "completed" -- where are those being populated because it's certainly not matching what I am actually currently reading, nor what I have completed. It's had exactly one entry of a book I finished already and marked as finished. But it's still under "currently reading."

Bookends question

I have multiple devices -- is there a way to set one up and copy something over to the others so I don't have to go through the same process on each device to get the page looking the way I want?

Newer Libra color

How do I make sure I get the updated version with the bigger battery? If I order from kobo directly, is that the best chance? I worry that Amazon will give me old stock.

Brand new AiPaper 10.3, can't connect to Mac

I am a little frustrated at the moment. I have used other MTP devices on my Mac with zero issues. I have OpenMTP. It just won't recognize the AiPaper at all and reports an error.

Is there a setting or something that needs to be activated? The developer USB is toggled on (it was by default, I didn't touch it). What should I do to get this working as this is a deal breaker for me. If this doesn't work, the device goes back.

Readest or KOreader on AIPaper?

So, we obviously have the choice between the two apps. I'm looking for reasons why you would *not* choose Readest on the AIPaper. Is it more of a battery hog than koreader? Does it handle eInk poorly compared to koreader?

AiPaper Mini

I am trying to find a device that can make me put others away. I've been using a kindle scribe colorsoft...it's...fine, but it's huge. I do love that I do not have to charge it but for every two weeks, which is awesome.

Critical things for me:

  • battery life -- if I have to charge the tablet like I do an iPad mini, that's fail.
  • I want to be able to have koreader on it
  • I also use the kindle app, so this would allow me to have both of my universes in one place
  • Front light is "nice," but I will probably have it off most of the time. I work in well lit areas.

What are people's real world experiences with the AiPaper mini as a decent sized note taker that is a great reader? Battery life? Performance?

I looked at the AiPaper proper as well, and that would be more like the Kindle Scribe form factor. A little big for a reader.

We live in a world of Too Many Choices. :)

note taking + reading, help me find device

My current device is the colorsoft, which is "fine" until I am outside. Then it sucks in the shade. It's also horrible about templates. You can't add them, and the ones they include suck. So I always just use a blank page.

what I want:

  • excellent battery life (the one thing I get spoiled by is the 2 weeks I go between charges with the CS)
  • I would like to be able to install koreader
  • I would love a lot of templates and the ability to add my own
  • black and white, preferably a Carta 1300 screen

So far I am looking at the Supernote Manta and the Remarkable Paper Pure. How easy is side loading on these? And my other requirements?

One strand flickering

These are permanent outdoor lights.

Tonight we got home and noticed one of our strands is now flickering. It’s been fine for a year. Where should I start looking? I tried lowering brightness and that did nothing. Tried different colors, same.

DELL U4025QW && Mac Studio && USB ports (USB-A)

I am finding on this monitor that every USB-A port defaults to USB 2.0 instead of 3.2 and I can't figure out how to fix it.

Auto-download not working

I have a podcast I listen to every day. It’s set to auto download. Yet, I always have to force the update to get it to download. Apple Podcasts never had this issue so I feel like I’m missing a setting somewhere I need to toggle?

Best setup to grab 4K copies of movies I already have 1080p of?

I have my plex library that I share. But in my internal setup, I want to be able to watch 4K copies of the same movies (not all...I don't need a lot of the movies in 4K).

I've read that people keep multiple instances of Radarr running to do this, one dedicated to 4K. But how do you setup the folder structure and have Plex understand it so that when I look at, say, "Blackhawk Down" I get one movie entry, but choices for versions inside of it?

5 weeks into reta. She had three weeks of losing about a pound to 1.5 a week. Weeks 4 and 5, no loss. She’s frustrated. Taking 2mg. How many more weeks before we decide to up her? She has no appetite, and is struggling to eat what I give her. If anything, she’s under. She’s discouraged.
