We do not have a written or registered rent agreement, but I have complete proof of my stay (bank transfers of rent/deposit, text history).

Even worse, the ₹2,900 Urban Company charge is an absolute scam. My neighbor in the adjacent flat confirmed to me that no Urban Company professionals ever came to the flat. Instead, the landlords, their family, and a few local maids did a basic clean themselves.

I texted her demanding the official PDF invoices for the Urban Company booking and the sanitaryware. She is flat-out refusing to send them. Instead, she is dodging the proof and insisting that I come meet her and her husband in person to "discuss" it. I flatly denied meeting in person because I want everything documented in writing.
