Saw the "Kumar method" style videos going around and wanted to see if an AI avatar could pull off the same energy without an actual shoot. This is the result — the whole thing is AI-generated, script to voice to face. Kind of surprised how close it gets to feeling like a normal talking-head video. Turned a client's product photos into a scroll-stopping Instagram Reel using AI — no camera, no shoot

A client sent me a folder of plain product photos — the kind every small business has sitting on their phone — and asked if we could turn them into something postable for Instagram.

Been experimenting with AI video tools to create quick product/ad videos for small e-commerce sellers — the kind of short, punchy Reels/Insta content that used to need a videographer + editor + a few days turnaround.

Turns out for a lot of D2C and small business use cases (product showcases, testimonial-style ads, "why buy from us" hooks), AI-generated video gets you 80% of the way there in a fraction of the time and cost. Useful especially for sellers who don't have budget for a full production team but still need to post consistently.

Been seeing this pattern blow up on IG lately, especially on small handmade-product pages — an AI-generated "influencer" persona (usually framed as disabled or visibly struggling), a heartfelt backstory, a line about how nobody's buying despite all the effort, then a soft sell at the end. It's massively outperforming regular product Reels on both reach and conversion right now. Anyone else tracking this, or know how long the format holds up before people start realizing half these creators aren't even real?
