I’ll never financially recover and I do not care.

Went 5070, 5070 Ti, 5080, now 5090. Yes I am the problem. Yes my wife knows. Yes it was worth it.

Anyone telling you the 5090 isn't worth it over the 5080 either hasn't run 4K on both or is coping because their wallet said no. The gap is not subtle. It's light years. The 5080 is a great card. The 5090 is a different conversation.

If you game at 4K and can afford it, stop reading reviews from people on 1440p 27" monitors and just buy it.

New Build Day - Went A Little Nuts

Went all in on a new build and yeah… I went a little nuts. Zero regrets though this thing turned out exactly how I wanted.

Threw everything into a Phanteks Evolve X2 with a Lian Li Hydroshift 360 and SL120 fans. Cable management actually came out decent and the whole thing just looks right.

Full specs:
• MB: ASUS Crosshair Glacial X870E
• CPU: Ryzen 7 9850X3D
• GPU: Gigabyte Aorus Master RTX 5090
• RAM: 64GB G.Skill 6000MHz CL30
• Storage: 4TB Samsung 9100 Pro NVMe
• Cooling: Lian Li Hydroshift 360 AIO + Lian Li SL120 fan
• PSU: Lian Li 1200W
• Case: Phanteks Evolve X2

First impressions have been excellent. It stays cool and surprisingly quiet even when I’m maxing everything at 4K. Firing up AAA games with everything cranked just puts a stupid grin on my face every single time. This is the “set it and forget it” high-end experience I was chasing.
