I started metformin yesterday and it hit me like a bus. My stomach was hurting so bad I used the bathroom 4 times last night. It woke me up out of my sleep. I also threw up some yellow liquid, no food. Before I started throwing up I got really lightheaded and felt like I was going to pass out. I would like to also add that I started on other medications yesterday as well but nothing that I hadn’t taken before (lexapro, vitamin D, birth control pill, and ear drops for an ear infection) which I know could play a part. I’m taking 500mg extended release once a day with meal.
