Steam Not Working

So Steam isn't working because "user namespaces" needs to be enabled... how do I do that? I've looked it up and I have no idea what I'm doing. I have no idea how I originally downloaded Steam, I'm way to scared to try and delete Steam, and I really don't wanna break my computer.
