We finally have a working PS3 emulator on Android, and it’s 100% worth diving in

For years I had wondered when that threshold would have been broken and when would we get a stable experience emulating this fantastic generation on Android.

Like most, I’ve been hearing the buzz about the Armsx2 team cooking some heat in the space lately, and was pleasantly surprised when they announced that they were taking on a RPCS3 fork for Android. If there was a team to crack it, it would be them.

And I’m happy to report that Armsx3 works incredibly well especially when considering how early in its development they are.

Loaded up Deadly Premonition Directors Cut on my Retroid Pocket 5, and instantly was blown away at how well it ran. I’ve never been able to get PS3 dialed in on Android, was always a slideshow with the FPS all over the place, constant crashes and broken textures.

Now? It powers through heavy titles such as DPDC and Max Payne 3, and they are releasing updates constantly.

If you’re a part of this incredible dev team, I owe you a beer. Amazing work, guys. Can’t wait to see the impact that your work has on the scene, it’s prolific and deserves its flowers.

Valve - Please look into working with Capcom to bring the Resident Evil titles with VR support natively to Steam for the release of the Frame.

These long-locked titles that have been exclusive to Sony's PSVR platform deserve a second breath on PC hardware.

I know Capcom hasn't been able to justify the ROI when assigning developers to these builds for the PlayStation headsets, and Sony has largely funded these endeavors. However I do see an upside to rereleasing these titles to Steam for the Frame.

Furthermore, I believe Valve would benefit from evaluating the possibility for a few popular "Flatscreen" titles that could be prime for developing native VR support on the Frame. Most of these titles already have most of the legwork on the software side cut out for them due to the immense weight of the industry that our mod developers of the community have helped carry to support the VR gaming space, keeping relevancy to current titles and pushing what's possible.

What other titles would you guys like to see receive official native VR support on Steam w/o the need of injecting mods?

Links from users that have swapped Joysticks and were satisfied.

I’ve noticed a few more vocal people in the comments of a few posts chiming in about swapping joysticks with Hall Effect/TMR ones and mentioning that they were happy with the quality of the sticks they received.

A year or so back I swapped my shell out for a transparent one, and while I had the Portal stripped down I considered upgrading the joysticks - but I got mixed reviews from individuals that had ordered sets and most said they ended up dissatisfied with the ones they received.

Anybody that has completed a swap with satisfying results care to share their links for where they sourced them? Also appreciate anybody that cares to share a negative link to warn anyone to stay away due to a bad set.

Game Pass w/ Nitro - for those of us that already subscribe to both?

For those of us that already pay for PC Game Pass & Discord Nitro subscriptions - what is the best way to take advantage of this recent partnership?

Perhaps I’m misunderstanding something here, but it looks to be like this:

Pay for Game Pass = you now have Nitro.
Pay for Nitro = you now have Game Pass.

Is that the gist of it? Or is this “Starter” Game Pass not the same as its PC subscription counterpart?

What I’m trying to work out - should I cancel my PC Game Pass or my Nitro sub to take advantage of this?

Or is the Starter Game Pass a downgrade from the PC tier and not worth the new added perk?
