I decided to make Janja more scruffy, and a little closer to the og hyenas. Jasiri is relatively the same, just toned down the raging oc syndrome of her design. But these two were super fun to draw! They’re pretty cute.

Hasara had wandered into the pridelands only weeks after Scar took over. Scar used his charms and got Hasara to bear him a cub. Unfortunately, it was girl. Scar was not happy with this outcome and ignored Hasara. Eventually she got sick, and was dying. Sarabi felt pity for Hasara, and tried her best to take care of her. Rafiki was not welcomed at priderock and Hasara was too weak to see him. Hasara was dying and she made a final plead to Sarabi.
“Please, Sarabi. Take care of Huzuni. No one else will.” So Sarabi did.

It wasn’t easy after Scar took over. Mheetu was born about a month later, and Huzuni followed soon after. Nala didn’t like Huzuni at first, her being the first born of Scar. But seeing how much Mheetu loved Huzuni, Nala couldn’t help but to follow suit. They were trouble makes though, always running off and starting trouble with the hyenas. It drove Nala crazy, she couldn’t lose them like she lost Simba. So when Mheetu and Huzuni snuck off to the elephant graveyard, Nala was furious. She had noticed they weren’t at priderocks and immediately knew where they went. When she found them she couldn’t be more upset. The cubs were apologetic but it was no use to sooth her fury.

A few months had passed. Shani was dead, Jiwe was dead, and the pride was traumatized. No one could’ve guess what was going on in Shanis mind. And even if that’s true, Roho couldn’t help but blame him self. He should’ve known, he should’ve helped her. Now both of his siblings were dead. He could handle it when Nafasi died, because he had Shani. But now that Shani was gone, and he was the one that did it.. Roho was suffocating. Roho was trying his best to be there for his nephews, but it was hard, he only saw Shani in them. He constantly fought with Ilanga too.
“Look at what she did! Look at what she did to my daughter, to me! Look!” Ilanga would scream. Kiara and Kovu tried their best to keep the peace, but it was an uphill battle.

The roar doesn’t exist in my au, it’s too goofy for me. So Taka doesn’t kill them, but as the prince he comes up with a lie to get them all banished. He says that they have plotted to overthrow Uru, saying there should be a queen ruling the pridelands. And even though Kishindo, Wingu, Misuli and Giza all deny it, the princes word is taken at face value. Uru tells them to never return or they’ll be executed. So they leave, pleading Uru to watch Taka carefully. And even though Uru pays them no mind, Ahadis doubts creep in.

Shani had cubs only months after meeting Ilanga. It was a whirlwind romance, Ilanga filled the void in Shanis heart. But when the cubs are born, the world comes crashing back down. They just remind her of Nafasi. She’s at her worst.

She names Nafsi after Nafasi. Nafsi is the future king.

Salama often deals with anxiety and guilt for what she did to Kopa. Stealing him away from his family and home. Salama often falls into a depressed state, but she has to keep going, for Kopa. But Kopa is always there for her. Kopa loves her dearly.
"C'mon, Sali! Cheer up, let's go hunting!" Hes always there to get her up.

In my AU Ahadi is the older cousin of Malkas father. So Simba and Malka are distantly related. But Uru and Ahadi met when Ahadi stumbled into the pridelands. Uru had tackled him and demanded to know who he was. It was love at first fight. They spent months getting to know each other, falling for each other hard. Uru finally brought Ahadi to meet Mohatu, who wasn’t very pleased to meet Ahadi at first. But don’t worry, we know how this story ends.

In my AU, there’s no roar of the ancestors or anything like that. But the guard is still a thing. I gave the girls a heavy redesign because they looked so goofy. Pigana and Jicho are sisters, and Miliki and Nguvu aren’t related to them or anything but they all grew up very close. Vitani loves them like sisters, so it was easy assembling her guard. They mostly patrol the inner pridelands, making sure no animals are killing without purpose. The guard doesn’t hunt, nor does Kiara. It is important that the lioness in charge of safety and the queen have a stable relationship with the prey animals of the pridelands.
