My loved one took DRP 2.0 from the IRS end of 9/25. She fell and broke her hip in January 2026, leading to a series of notable medical costs. Due to a failure of OPM’s systems to reflect her actual employment status in early 2026, they incorrectly considered her still an employee in certain respects, causing OPM to misinform her and her healthcare providers that FEHB (BCBS in this case) was the primary insurance. Months later they reversed the instruction, backdating it, to reflect Medicare as primary. And now, of course, both providers have refused to pay, indicating that the other is primary. The Medicare protest deadline is in October—we’ll protest. And if necessary we’ll sue both at once.

One of our children starts at A&M this fall, and will be staying in the dorm. For the NSC, the dorm beds are not normal sized (and are….foam). What is the best source to buy bedding, whether based on cost or quality? And what do y’all do to make those foam mattresses comfortable? Thank you in advance for your advice?

Are there resources to determine grade distribution for a particular class and/or professor? Are there any resources beyond Rate My Professor to evaluate instruction? If it matters, my daughter will be starting at McCombs, and her beau will be a biology major.

Any recommendations on the above?

I am about to have multiple kids in college all at once. There will be times where I lack monthly cashflow to cover everything and could sell off some PMs. This includes one sealed mint tube. I’d prefer to break the seal and sell an ounce here or there as needed. But if I do that am I materially hurting the sales price versus keeping the tube intact? Thank you in advance for your input.

I will be entertaining visitors Saturday night—or at least trying to. I don’t get out much anymore and could use your advice.
