Fic with a Experienced and powerfull SI/OC coming to Worm. No Newbies.

What I want is relatively hard to find.

That being :

The SI ( OC is fine too but I really wanted and SI ) is a being of some power and experience BEFORE they arrives at worm.

They could be some one like the MC of Doors to the unknown. A experiemced wizard and planeswalker who arrives at worm by investigating a new pathways in the multiverse that was not there before.

They could a Jumper ( a person who does the type of CYOA where they go into a chain of different worlds of adventure instead of just one - got it ? Jumpchain? Heh ) who alredy have being on some worlds, acumulated some power

Heck they do not even have to be a multiverse traveller as long as they are experimced enough to might as well be. Like Lato Cleff and Jack Bright ( SCP characters ) in my beloved but never finished " Contaiment report "

The first and fore most request is that they are not some newbie who was transited from the normal world straigth to worm

I got that desire after being sort of let down by 2 fics:

After that one fic were a sort of evil Jumper guy chooses Taylor to become his companion she goes into inter-multiversal adventures and comes back with multiple power from other worlds ( including naruto I think ) I was just like :

Great concept but I not nice execution.

Also ther eis lame twist where the Jumepr was so Lame he actually originally want to take Jack as a companion but chsnged his mind on a whim sort of.

Them I read Doors to The Unknown and think :

Awesome concept and even a good execution but I can't bring myself to like this MC and some of the writting choices thick me off.

So I am searching for a fic that has what I liked on those ones but actually delivers it

[Loved Trope] Villany is Wasted Potential

+++> Lex Luthor - countless times through comic issues Superman tells Lex how much good his brilliance and competence could do for humanity. Instead he wastes half of his time hatting on auperman, the other halkf being a great a example of " All billionares are Evil" trope ( ps know this not an actual trope, but it should be! Have you read absolute universe. Its basically Legion of Billionares vs ragtag underdogs of good)

+++> Leet - in a world where making super tech is not a product o natural genius but yes a super power on its own that comes with limitations on what you can make we have a few , very few, lucky fellows called " Wild Tinkers " who can make any sort of tech usually with a silly limitation like " it had to have a countdown to self destruct". So... among those free thinker we have Leet, a C lister who chooses to use his rare power to make videogame content crimes like a teen-titans villain, and posting his villany online. His limitation is " Making anything ... but only once. If you try to make more of the same thing it will malfunction." He could have made millions by selling his tech to a internacional Tinker known for having the power to copy others tech. But noooo- lets make bad villain lolcow YouTube channel.

+++> Dr Sauron- the image speaks for itself. Dude wastes high level bioknesis into his dinossaur fetish. Freaking high level bioknesis

When people point out to villains how much more they could be - Objectbely and Logically - If they just did not choose villany

SCP researchers worth remenbering

English not my forst language sorry for awkward grammar

With time SCP started to include way more actual story telling and character and consequentially many compellying and memorable researcher characters came about.

I wanted to ask you guys what researchers stuck with you. Those that even if just appearing in 1 or 2 SCPs or Tales are worth remenbering and have interesthing personalities.

Also that might be a sneaky way of asking for recomendarions of stories. Stories with not just SCP goodness but character too

+Jumps good for power a thief/collector?

+Jumps good for power collectors

You guys got what I mean. Sometimes we want powers not even so much for a purpose but just to collect them as figurines.

For that a simple power thief perk like " All for One " or something is enough.

Them got to Jumps like :

JJK ( defntely stealing all the Zenin curse techniques)

One Piece ( Lots of villains could do without their devil fruit )

Worm ( lots of awsome powers at the hand of shitty people )

I wanted suggestions from you guys of places to go.

Places with a great variety of cool powers and stuff

A psicologia é complexa.

Lt Ouroumov's CYOAand the potential for a Jumpchain

Has anyone here ever read Lt Ouroumov's CYOA version 17?

https://cyoa.ltouroumov.ch/viewer/Its absolutely enourmous.!!!

They managed to gather and summarize hundreds - literal hundredrs upon hundreds possibly oover a thousand - powers/perks and items and decide it in very neet categories

Physical Powers

Species and Genetics Powers

Martial Arts and Techniques Powers

Mental and Psychic Powers

Magic and Mystic Powers

Spiritual and Divine Powers

Technology and Artifice Powers

Esoteric and Abstract Powers

Foundation Powers

Keystone Powers

Paragon Powers

Objects of Power

I made a game out of copy pasting into a word document only the options I liked or could reconize ( because I am autistic son of a #### ) and well ... after 190 pages of word I am still not done with it.Not even done with the powers part. Haven't even got into the objects of power or companion options yet

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1kFEeXdALfcsf6HB1cbN6n4lU8QqAq5gd/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=105495248908608562101&rtpof=true&sd=true

I encorage you guys to look at it because it honestly feels like a base for " Essence of Jumpchain" document way more than any essece of Jumpcahain stuff I ever saw.

Shit I even had an idea of running a chain JUST with this CYOA, in which every jump the jumper would get more poitns and unlock acess to new sections of this.

And I dont think said jumper would be that behind in comparison to his fellow world hoppers that use multiple documents. Because again : This thing is HUGE and encompasses hundreds of powers coming from hundreds of fiction sources.

Anyway I just wanted to share this here since I nver saw no one comenting on how ridicouly awsome it is and ll the jumpchain potential it has ... and Ask - If It Is allowed by the creator - If it would be possible to use This CYOA as base for a new Jump document. Kind of like a essence of jumpchain doc... but also different

I dont know I just can't look at this and not shout out for the community to call upon this guy ( or gal ) and comission him( or her ) to make a equivalent site but for jumpchain instead.

I think that would be legendary, historical moment for jumpchain comunity

Retroactive chain writing

Have you guys ever thought, "Damn, I want to write about a jumper going to this world!"?

But then you later thought, "Okay, but this can't be a beginning world. I want to go to this world as a somewhat experienced jumper with lots of tricks under my belt and plenty of stories to tell when the locals ask. I want at least two different types of magic, one type of supertech, three cool weapons, etc. It will be awesome."

But then you realize... you don't actually have the willpower to write all the jumps leading up to the one you want.

So, here is a new idea I am excited about: "The Retroactive Chain"

Basically, you write a jump—let's say it's your ninth jump. You give yourself all the powers and companions you feel like having. Since it's told from a third-person perspective, it won't reveal too much. Any reveals about the past will only come straight from the mouth of the jumper or their companions.

I thought of this after starting five different chains and sort of losing interest before getting to that one specific jump I was super excited about.

Can anyone relate?

Has anyone else always wanted to write a story about a jumper who has a dozen powers from different places, but you just can't keep writing long enough to have a single character go to a dozen worlds and live a dozen different adventures?

Have you ever wanted to go to a jump like Marvel, DC, Warhammer, Worm, or SCP... but just never did? Mostly because they are the kind of jumps you never pick as your first destination (since it makes you too powerful too fast, and that ruins the fun), so you always put them further down the chain and never actually get that far.

Oh, and the "retroactive" part is not for nothing.

Another benefit of the mystery created by the writing of this jump is boosting my motivation to write at least parts of the jumps that preceded it.

As one geeks out about how cool that particular moment was where the jumper pulled the Chains of Heaven out of a mech suit, motivation builds in the brain to write that specific previous jump where the jumper stole said chains from Gilgamesh, and so on.

The guilt of "Wasting Time" writing fanfiction. How to deal with it?

The Guilt of writting fanfiction

So... How do you guys justify it to yourself's?

Through most of my life I was told by my parents that I have to do something with all this creativity and artistic intelligence I got. Dad even Offered to help me build a Youtube Channel for myself ( he has his own for his business so he knows his stuff)

And What I have to hold myself from telling him is that all the things they say I should do would take WAY to much work and time to actually do it right. Its not like I do not want to - somewhat - write my own book or have a Youtube Channel, I just ... am not up to the challenge. At least not in this period of my life.

But enough context, lets go to the part about fanfiction.

Well... I feel guilty about writting it.

Because, If I am taking part of my day to do something creative, why not do something creative that is also at least somewhat close to "Productive". A voice in my head says "If you want to write a book one day - If you really want to - why are you not using this 30 minutes you are using for this fanfiction into actually writting original stuff. Maybe you are not as tired and as out of time as you say you are."

In the past I justified to myself as "everyone deserves some no compromise fun. Gabriel plays videogames and you would not reprimend him for it, why reprimend yourself for fanfiction, which is defntely more productive than videogames."

But that line of thinking does not work anymore, because I realized how much actual creative energy I am "Burning" with fanfiction and... I don't know.

Part of me wants to do original stuff.

Part of me just wants to relax and do some low effort fanfics.

and a lot of me feels guilty on how I spend my time and energy.

I wanted advice If anyone has it

But I actually got curious to edentify the other multiverses they are referencing

  1. Lovecraft verse ( obvious)

  2. Jujutsu Kaisen ( liked how the "Death and Magic" as the name. Fits a lot )

  3. Gachiakuta ( Probably)

4)Macho? - no Idea what this is referências

5)The war and Lovers? That away? - no idea on this one either

Any one got ideas ?

Advice. I try and try but can't make the habits stick.

Hey guys, I’m looking for some advice. Specifically, how do I succeed in establishing a good habit and dropping a bad one when I’ve failed many times before and no longer believe in myself?

The habits I’m talking about aren’t complicated or abnormal. They are the 'good old' basics: sleeping on time, meditating every day after waking up, and not spending every free moment consuming fiction on the internet. It's stuff I think most of you are pretty familiar with… and yet, it hasn’t worked for me.

I try to solidify these habits in my life, but they just won’t stick. The part of me that resists change keeps winning. I know I probably won't hear anything new by posting this here, but I felt like I had to try because I’m out of ideas
