First off, it has been wild watching the support for this project. Over 100 chrome installs in a week and 28 apple test flight users to help make this thing a reality and a super active discord.

This all started with me wanting a more modern onshape plus experience and to be able to use it on my surface pro 8. I ended up trying shapr3d which is modern and optomized for tablet and touch, but they have no hobby tier and is way too expensive so..... I built it.

This is and always fill be a free, open source project built by passionate fans of onshape :)

The name will be changed soon to avoid any confusion that this is an official onshape product.

It's built with security in mind so no analytics, tracking, or touching anything sensitive in onshape, you can read more about the security aspect of Onshape Plus here

Hey al! First off wanted to thank the 10+ people that ended up reaching out and giving super valuable feedback on my initial chrome extension Onshape Tablet UI. I've now swapped the name to Onshape Plus since I'm going to be shipping much more than just tablet UI and it's already gone beyond that point.

So it started with me trying to use onshape with y surface PRO 8 with a pen. it just didn't work, I then found Shapr3d but that's a $400 subscription per year, and I'm doing 3d modelling for my printer and ontop of that, onshape is a much better cad.

I'm a software dev and realized the only real thing shapr3d has over onshape is the UI / UX, so I built it myself and the code is completely open source.

Feel free to give it a try and any feature requests, issues I'll implement them quickly!

Big thanks to this community for all the positive feedback and feature ideas !!

Hey all! I love onshape but I always wanted it to feel more modern and also I really wanted a persistent toolbar that shows my “s” shortcut keys and some convenient utility keys. This also makes onshape super usable on tablet with a pen to avoid having to pay $300+ a year for Shapr3d.

I’m a software developer so I ended up building it!

I’ve launched this as a chrome extension! Feel free to give feedback, contribute to the open source GitHub project etc.

Hey all! So i've been doing a lot of 3d printing and designing. I was about to pull the trigger on Shapr3d since I really loved how it worked and how well it handled touch screen and pen.

I'm a software developer and I realized that OnShape is a much better CAD in my opinion, and was only lacking the UI polish and dynamic functionality that made it feel so modern.

I built a chrome / edge extension which enables a floating sidebar which is dynamically seeded based on your shortcut menu, and quick access to the key actions typically done on a keyboard ( auto orient & zoom, confirm and decline, deselect etc. )

If anyone wants to try it before it hits the chrome store you can freely checkout the github repository here and follow the readme for how to install it on your own chrome to check it out. This does not track anything, store user data, none of that, just pure vibes.

My 3 year old keeps saying he wants to ride my bike with me and yesterday I caved. He sat ok the main bar with his feet down and loved it but since he didnt have anywhere for his feet so they would touch the wheel etc.

24 hours later I designed a foot holder that custom fits my bike and he absolutely. Loves. It.

During the first ride he literally goes “thank you for my pedals dad”.

I just recently got an a1 mini and I’ve been working with on shape to make some designs. This was a fun one because my neighbour owns this company, and he casually said “man would it be cool to have something for my company” when I was showing him some prints.

Turned out great and was super fun

my first designer model I’ve made and published! currently holding my 3d printed sword but could definitely be used as a normal wall hook for jackets etc.
