Genuinely hate people on high horses about diet sodas

I know some people are very fortunate enough to not have to think about things too deeply but when someone sees me, a really skinny guy order a diet soda at a bar or restaurant or I see "doctors" online say never drink diet it doesn't help you lose weight and that's the only reason people drink diet!

I'm a type 1 diabetic and two common misconceptions are:

1.) all diabetics are obese and did it to themselves.

I had an auto immune thing where my body attacked my pancreas and killed it, one of the early signs of developing type 1 Diabetes is rapid (I mean fucking RAPID) weight lose.

2.) diabetics need to avoid sugar.

This one is fine and one conversation will help learn someone about it, diabetics need to manage their carbohydrate intake and calculate it to give themselves the right amount of insulin because to simplify, carbs are the bodies fuel, insulin turns it from "food" to "energy" for the body.

So when people scoff at me or online tell me I'm an idiot for drinking it or absolutely god fucking forbid a server sees a skinny person order diet and give them regular (if it's a mistake, it's okay but do better) but I've seen servers in threads and boards say they give skinny people regular when they ask for diet and it's like holy fucking shit it's genuinely no different to "nobody I know has a peanut allergy so it's not that serious" and gives them a peanut dish without telling them, I've only been hospitalized maybe twice because of this (had ketones and they had to monitor me, again to simplify ketones is similar to crushed limb syndrome where the body panics and begins to develop basically a poison and your blood gets as thick as syrup and you can actually feel it passing through your organs, feels like total body shut down and the only reason I didn't go to the hospital the last time this happened is because my wife couldn't move my body without me crying in pain)

If somebody orders something specific just fucking assume there's a reason for it! Fucks sake

Just found out we're pregnant, need reassurance

My partner just found out she's pregnant (we think 6 weeks) I'm still processing this because while kids were always on the table it's still unexpected and I just need one question answered...

For background for my concerns, my parents were good parents just not together, they got divorced 4 years ago and god I wish they got divorced 15 years ago, they're much better off single because they were drunk all the time and yelling at each other and me, I spent a lot of nights in my sister's bed crying as a kid.

So obviously I feel like the last person on earth to be qualified to be a father but my mother's boyfriend said to me "OP... Every man has shit themselves when they found out they're going to be a dad" and that really did help me a bit but my main question is, my partner and I love each other absolutely (I know this sounds BS but I don't even register other women in a romantic or sexual way) and we're obviously going to love this child so like, that's enough right? We love each other and will love our child that has to be enough.

I'm just so worried for my kids future

Question about Heimdall's ability

Can somebody explain to me like I'm 5 how heimdall couldn't read kratos? Is it because kratos has been trained in fighting so well that when kratos goes into a battle he is basically just on autopilot mode and everything he does is basically instinctual and kratos isn't actually reading or responding to opponents attacks?

So about Jax's backstory

TW: Abuse. Possibly transphobia (I'm so sorry if that's the case)

I genuinely have no i guess "preference" with Jax being trans and maybe it's because I'm a cis guy who knows 1 trans person but like personally I just don't fully see his talk with ribbit being about how he came out as trans.

Jax's father to me sounds like a drunk who would get angry and take it out on Jax and his mother, he was obviously an abusive asshole and had a toxic relationship with his wife, when Jax says "when I showed emotion I was weak, when I lashed out I was just like him".

I take that as Jax's mother kinda blames Jax for the divorce and when Jax would open up his mother would be little him and verbally abuse him for being weak because the only other man in her life at that time was a husband who didn't share his feelings except anger and she thought something was wrong with Jax, and when the abuse was too much for Jax and if he yelled or lost his temper his mother would be like "oh wow there it is! You're just like your pos father of course you would treat me the same way as him because I'm just your floor mat!".

Like nothing Jax would do would make his mother see that Jax is his own person, if he tried to connect he's a weak loser and if he got upset he's just like his abuser father.

I obviously understand the deep thing he told his mother was how he identifies but Jax could have easily just stood his ground, told her how he felt without seeming overly emotional or angry and his mother cut him down all the same then went in for the hug as some kind of "I finally pushed you into the person you are meant to be" like "my abuse finally shaped you right" and that's when Jax shoved her to the ground.

Now this interpretation comes from a lot of personal experiences like drunk parents, narcissism and manipulation and a divorce I've been stuck in the middle for like 5 years now and I finally put my foot down not long ago and it blew up pretty badly. But this is just my interpretation, love to hear more insights

I have a really weird problem with DMC2

Does anybody else find themselves "accidentally going the correct way"? Like in mission 4 I thought the path to get the ability to run in devil trigger would be the correct path so I rolled my way under the gate and fought the boss and completed the mission and in mission just before the boss fight it REALLY seems like the game is directing your attention to the orb to unlock the door in the floor of the room so after I reached that and unlocked the door I went above the orb and accidentally triggered the boss fight, I usually have this problem in games where I think I'm going down an optional path but I was just unlucky but it REALLY feels like this game is intentionally leading you to avoid these paths and I'm second guessing every move
