Newest addition to my SK collection, FREEing Toki

I must say I never played the New Link gacha game I mainly stuck to the normal games, but I super love Toki’s design and was really glad to finally snag this figure!

She’s HUGE, a lot taller than I expected she almost didn’t fit in my case 😅. But despite that I’m super glad to finally have her home. Homura and Senkou should be coming in soon also, but I’m don’t wanna spam this sub with pics I’ll wait until they’re all in! Also included a size comparison to FREEing Ryobi, and also a progress shot of all my 1/4s so far. All super solid figures 👍

Trying a new figure setup, yay or nay?

I was shifting some of my figs around and I wanted to do a setup where all my nurses are posed together rather than half and half. I felt the right side looked a little empty and static compared to the left side, so I put them together. does it look better or worse?

First 2 pics are new setup, last 2 pics are old setup

Any extension cables for this kind of connection?

I have this magnetic led light, and it has a very short cable. I don’t know the name of this kind of connection, so I’m not sure what to search up to find an extension. Any help is appreciated!

So….the chordclaw

I’ve been watching a lot of of the pre release gameplay today and I super love the chordclaw, but one thing has me confused, how does it work?

With the ruststalkers the claw replaces their whole hand or they have a third arm dedicated to the claw. But what’s going on here? Is the claw more like a glove they equip? Is it built into the arm and it somehow retracts?

Heraldry & Markings

I’ve been considering attempting to paint yellow this edition, both for some new space marines and maybe some Bad Moons as well.

For the Marines Malevolent, I had some questions about their proper heraldry as I would like to get as accurate as possible :

  1. the company mark, is it a stripe on the helmet?

  2. How exactly do the veteran markings work? Is it a first company thing? Does it only go on guns? Can it go anywhere on the armor?

  3. a very common thing I see is the shark tooth beakie helmets. Does this piece of iconography have any credence in recent official media or is it just a fun rogue trader thing

The gang’s all here…

Hobby Stock Yumi finally came in, which caps off my set of the currently-released Senran Kagura nurse figures! Super love how they look all together they’re all great but Murasaki is still my fav I think.

I hope they make at least one more and that it’s one of the Evil Shinobi, preferably one that hasn’t gotten a figure yet, someone like Imu Mirai or Miyabi would be cool cuz they haven’t really gotten 1/4 figures yet. I have a rule against getting a second figure of the same character so I would appreciate it not being a dupe 😣

Kichikou Rance: is it a must-play?

I’ve been going through the Rance games and am currently almost through Rance 4. There have been other VNs that have started to pique my interest, and I decided that once I finish Rance 4.2 I would take a little break since Rance 5 I heard is a soft relaunch of the story so I figured it would be a good return once I finish a different VN.

HOWEVER, Kichikou Rance is a thing. Initially, I wasn’t gonna bother playing it since it wasn’t canon. But then—and idk how true this is—some parts of it are referenced in the future games.

Now personally, I would prefer to stick to the canon series mainly cuz there’s 6 other long games and I don’t feel as motivated to play Kichikou cuz of its non-canonicity. But would I be missing out on any super important story bits if I do? Or will I be introduced to them naturally in the later games? I’d be willing to give it a go if there’s stuff I really oughta not miss. Thank you!

. I got my bachelors in mechanical engineering in May 2024 and was lucky enough to find a job right out of college doing AutoCAD/Solidworks desk work at a lighting manufacturer. Next week will mark the 2 year anniversary of my starting here. I currently make around 52K a year, and I had thought that was a good starting point but I see other engineers with 2 years of experience earning closer to 80K. I love my job, but the prospects of a large increase in pay in the near future is relatively slim.

I live at home with my family. They are saying I should be earning way more but besides applying for more jobs I’m not really sure where to go next to improve upon that.

Are there any skills I should try and learn to improve my chances? I currently have experience with AutoCAD, Solidworks, Ansys , Creo, and a little MATLAB, which I thought were all the primary softwares. Is there anything else I should try and learn?

I’ve also been getting suggested to do the FE exam, but I hear a lot of people say that MEs don’t really need to take it. Would that be worth looking into?

Thank you for your time and any advice you might have. I super appreciate it.

Howdy, I’ve recently started watching Ultraman. I liked Orb, so I’m currently going through the original. I like it so far but I am confused about something. Does Hayata control Ultraman when he uses the beta capsule? Or does he use the capsule and Ultraman takes over for the duration of the battle? Thank you.
