For this question, I am mainly wanting to focus on regular films that made you unexpectedly shed a tear or few when watching. This is seperate from movies with sad scenes, for example Marley & Me.

I cried at the live action Garfield when Odie got saved at the end, and also towards the end of Armageddon. And I know someone who cried at the goat scene in Jurassic Park

I strongly believe that Andrew Garfield could’ve been a better Spider-Man than Tobey Maguire if it wasn’t for the poor storylines in both TASM films. I really enjoyed the first The Amazing Spider-Man film and I thought that Andrew portrayed Peter better than Tobey did in all three original Spider-Man films.

I’m excited for this but, the title feels misleading

Hi all, I am new to this subreddit community. I need some advice because I am feeling kind of lost with myself. As the title reads “feeling the need to date”, I have been having this emotion for quite sometime and haven’t really spoken about it.

I (18M w/ a disability) have been out of high school for a little over half a year now, (why I say half a year is because I live in Australia) and I have had the impression of “needing to date” since the start of my final year of high school. The reason for me having this feeling is because practically majority of the people that I was surrounded by and whom the people I still connect with after finishing high school have either been in relationships or are currently in one, and with all of this happening around me, I felt and still feel lonely and also feel a little ‘left behind’. To be completely honest, I am not really wanting to date someone right now, I just feel like I have to because everyone my age is in relationships and I feel like I need to be on the same page with them.

I want to know if this is common and what could I potentially do to change my mindset on this scenario?

I’m scared to talk about to the people around me about this and I wish these thoughts would fuck off

I’d rather wait til the crazy shenanigans of online pre-orders (website crashes) and rushing to stores are over to buy my copy of GTA VI than be with everyone else

What a hard way to go

I know that this subreddit is a page dedicated to Foo Fighters, but I just wanted to share my review on Dave’s daughter (Violet Grohl’s) debut album.

Phenomenal debut album is what I have to start by saying when writing this review. When I first heard the first 3 singles off of this album (applefish, thum, and 595), I wasn’t sure what to think of it at first, but once I listened to those songs again, it began to become clear that I really enjoyed and respected the creativity of this album. To think that Violet is the daughter of one of rock’s most beloved singers, Dave Grohl, it is honestly unbelievable as Violet’s style is super talented.

Violet has described this album as having a David Lynch type of vibe, and it definitely is true. I’m not a massive fan of David Lynch but I do know that he is a director of experimental film, and as I said earlier that I didn’t know what to think. The song that I can hear that takes a lot of inspiration from David Lynch’s work is the 6th track on the album titled ‘Mobile Stars’ as it’s this unique piece that doesn’t feel real yet it’s impactful to the listeners ear.

My favourite off of this record is the second song of the album, ‘595’. I absolutely loved the bridge/outro section of the song with the drums as it’s super punchy and powerful. But overall, every track on this album is crafted so perfect.

If you’re are a fan of alt rock and experimental music, then this is a must listen to album. This album is definitely one of my favourite albums of the year so far. Be Sweet To Me, the debut album by Violet Grohl, is out now
