this one from a road trip i took up the coast of california.

yojoe.com doesn't have a record of an Italian Blaster that I can find. is it on the site and i'm just missing it? has anyone seen an Italian Blaster before? YO JOE!

the 1978 version (on the left) is considered “Pretty Common.” this Ranger was individually carded. 

the 1976 version (on the right) is considered “Unusual.” it came with the Wilderness Patrol Set.

the main differences are the 1976 OG version has no detail on his front shirt and a wider brimmed cowboy hat. they both have the same patch on their left arm.

1986 Strato-Viper alongside his Recon Drone for the Night Raven.

1989 Payload v2 alongside the Avenger Scout Craft.

aside from the obvious color differences, these are nearly identical. the only difference being the Scout has two divots for it to balance on and the Drone doesn't, so it tends to lean.

i guess that has something to do with the Scout needing to snap into the Crusader Space Shuttle? does the Drone not have the same need for the Night Raven? anyone know?

This set was sold in 2 different packaging: the tan card, and the "Action Pack" illustrated box. The motorcycle with the checkerboard/lightning design on it was sold in the Action Pack from around 1980 to 1983.

The two identical guns on top are almost the 1986 COBRA NIGHT LANDING Sub machine gun and almost the Remco SGT. Rock Sub machine gun, but not quite either one.

and the other one is almost the 1983 Grunt Rifle, but not exactly. 

or maybe that's exactly what they are? they're black, kind of malleable. i know it's hard without seeing them first hand, but can you help? YO JOE!

i now have 45 copies. this one from the Tin Can Mailman Used Bookstore in Arcata, CA.

at a swap meet, in a basket filled with old ephemera. dig. you just gotta dig.

found these at a garage sale in Los Angeles.

There is nothing on the back of either one.

the fine folks at Apex weren't able to help with the Zip Disk, but I met a guy named Tom who turned me on to a few other options I'll explore in the next few weeks.

i'm still committed to trying to find out what's on this Zip Drive Disk.

i went to a few computer repair places, but one guy wanted a minimum of $250 just to meet with me so... nope.

my favorite figure as a kid, and probably still in the top 5 today. just picked up the Brazilian version last week - Leopardo.

google lens tells me this is wild weasel, but i can't find this version on yojoe.com. i don't think it's wild weasel or strato viper. who is this? YO JOE!

i was today years old when i learned that general mills was the parent company of kenner back in 1977.

the back of Darth Vader's leg says: GMF 01 1977 Hong Kong.

The cape is in nice condition, but he does not have a saber.

does this General Mills thing make this figure special? or worth more than another version of DV?
