Fisher-Price Adventure People 1980 Cycle Racing Team

Fisher-Price Adventure People 1980 Cycle Racing Team

This set was sold in 2 different packaging: the tan card, and the "Action Pack" illustrated box. The motorcycle with the checkerboard/lightning design on it was sold in the Action Pack from around 1980 to 1983.

shall we play a game?

The two identical guns on top are almost the 1986 COBRA NIGHT LANDING Sub machine gun and almost the Remco SGT. Rock Sub machine gun, but not quite either one.

and the other one is almost the 1983 Grunt Rifle, but not exactly.

or maybe that's exactly what they are? they're black, kind of malleable. i know it's hard without seeing them first hand, but can you help? YO JOE!

does anyone know this artist or work?

found these at a garage sale in Los Angeles.

There is nothing on the back of either one.

Josef Pelzi? or Pelz?

Date: 1990

they are real signatures, along with the inscription, but i can't seem to find out anything about this artist.

plug for Apex Surplus

Apex Surplus - movie prop house and collector of all things old tech - fascinating place - https://apexsurplus.com - if Star Wars Jawas opened up a brick and mortar retail store, this is what it would like - attached some photos i took from earlier today.

UPDATE: GI JOE 1997 Zip Drive — Here is how it looks 24 days later!

shout out to fellow r/gijoe community member u/No-Card2524 - THANK YOU for the Zip Drive - haven't been able to test it yet BUT...

I did go to Apex Surplus - fascinating place if Jawas opened up a brick and mortar retail store, this is what it would like - attached some photos i took from earlier today.

the fine folks at Apex weren't able to help with the Zip Disk, but I met a guy named Tom who turned me on to a few other options I'll explore in the next few weeks.

i'm still committed to trying to find out what's on this Zip Drive Disk.

i went to a few computer repair places, but one guy wanted a minimum of $250 just to meet with me so... nope.

u/3DJoes - thanks for the offer - i may still send the disk your way.

YO JOE!!!

General Mills Darth Vader 1977 Not Kenner

i was today years old when i learned that general mills was the parent company of kenner back in 1977.

the back of Darth Vader's leg says: GMF 01 1977 Hong Kong.

The cape is in nice condition, but he does not have a saber.

does this General Mills thing make this figure special? or worth more than another version of DV?

THANK YOU!

Cobra Dreadnok - Buzzer 1985 - now complete w/File Card

Hasbro originally wanted the Dreadnocks to be Teddy Bear type creatures akin to the Ewoks from StarWars ROTJ. Larry Hama refused to write the creatures into the Marvel comic book on the grounds that "good guys can't shoot rifles at teddy bears."

1988 - G.I. Joe - Blizzard - Arctic Attack Soldier

Knowing Is Half the Battle: did you know some leftover Blizzard figures ended up as prizes at Chuck E. Cheese pizza/arcades and carnivals around the country as skeeball prizes in 1992/93.

I guess Blizzard didn't sell well...

The Enemy - Cobra Stinger Driver - 1984

when i was a kid i called him Stinger. it was better than the generic The Enemy.

he's not in the best shape and neither is his file card, but for a toy that's 42 years old, I can't complain..

my "friend" Mark stole my Stinger when we were kids. fuck Mark!!!

1985 Crimson Guard - Cobra Elite Trooper

i was today years old when I learned that there are two variant red backpacks he came with. the "hollowed out" version is the more rare one. i, of course, don't have that one. but i do have his accessory pack weapons.

it is a magnificent, beautiful "children's " toy. weren't they like $100 retail at Toys R Us etc? if only... a time machine existed.
