CLEP exams?

I am a current senior in high school who will be attending Valencia after I graduate. I am looking to take CLEP exams this year to maybe graduate faster. For more information:

  • I am going to do the engineering track
  • I have passed 6 AP exams (HUG, APES, Precalc, Bio, Seminar, Calc AB)
  • I am considering taking the CLEP exams for college composition, humanities, American government, and macroeconomics to test out of GenEd requirements

Is this worth it? How long would it take for me to get my AA in engineering if I take this path?

How are y'all doing?

I'm a 2009 baby and I've been a bit worried about young adulthood and college. So how's life for y'all? What do people not tell you about young adulthood and college that I should know? Do you think you've changed and matured a lot since you were 17?

Brain fog causing conditions

I’m 17, gifted, and diagnosed with POTS. I developed my first symptoms a few years ago and received a diagnosis in March of this year. My POTS causes a lot of brain fog, trouble concentrating, and memory issues, both from lack of blood flow to my brain and fatigue/unrefreshing sleep. I feel like I’ve lost my intelligence to this condition and it’s really frustrating. My treatment has helped a little bit but I’m still nowhere near what I was before my POTS onset. Has anyone else developed a brain fog causing condition and felt this way?

Self-studying AP Lang?

I’m a rising senior, and I tried to take AP Lang as a junior, but the workload was too much so I dropped it. I am wondering about self-studying because I could test out of the freshman composition requirement at my chosen college. I had a 93% when I dropped the class after 6 weeks, and only dropped because it was an insane amount of work. Is self-studying a good option?

POTS

I'm 17F, and I started classical voice lessons when I was 13. When I was around 14-15, I started getting lightheaded when I tried to sing and my heart would start racing, despite using proper technique. A few months ago, I finally received a POTS diagnosis. I never practiced as much as I should have because of these symptoms, and I stopped attending lessons in May after I almost blacked out during a lesson. I was very heartbroken over this decision because I've always loved classical music and singing was by far my favorite hobby. I am in treatment for my POTS, but it's a long process. Has anyone else had similar experiences? I'd love advice if anyone has it.

Is there any way to take a year off

I’m going into my senior year doing FLVS full time. I did brick and mortar school for my junior year but because of my chronic illness I fell into a deep depression and burnout. I still haven’t recovered and don’t see myself recovering before August. Is there any way to take this school year off and finish out high school in 2027-2028 so I can rest and learn how to cope with my illness?
