How is Anne such a good nurse?

During a long road trip, I have done a reread of Persuasion and this question arose. There are at least 2 independent instances where she is good at taking care of an injured person. While I would get why someone like Emma or Fanny would be good at nursing, Anne, with her family being in good health doesn't seem to be a likely candidate. Did she learn it in school(I don't mean they would like have a subject "taking care of the sick and needy," but like taking care of her classmates(is that the correct word in this context?).

Thank you in advance for answers!

Endo-sensei appreciation post

Honestly, few last arcs were just absolute peak fiction next to peak fiction.

That's it. That's the post.

What to visit in the "Italian" part of Switzerland?

Hi, me and my parents are going to visit the southeast of Switzerland and I was asked whether there is a place I would like to visit. I'm fond of hiking and ferratas, so you can share tips about those, but I'm not limited by it, I also enjoy a walk in a pretty historical town. I was interested in Bellinzona, but I'm open to any suggestions.

Thank you in advance for your replies, looking forward to them!

Anyone else have playing violin like a coping mechanism?

Hi.

Now, for the records, I don't have diagnosed any psychological condition(is that the word?). However, I have been feeling overwhelmed and anxious for some time now, and I found out that one method that works(I also have phases when I just freeze in my seat and doomscroll, unable to get up, or lie on a floor in case that's relevant) is just taking my violin and playing something-anything. I usually start with very aggressive scales and then move on to pieces I played years ago(anything I find in my notes bag). Having sheet music/something to follow helps that I have something to do, I don't know if it would work if I would just play random notes. I try to evade my current piece/etude, however, I sometimes play even them.

2 questions:

Can this negatively influence my playing(my teacher actually complimented me that I have finally began playing proper forte lately), especially in the long term-if so, I should know so I can stop.

And anyone else doing the same thing?

Can I just undertune my violin

Ok, disclaimer, this is purely theoretical and I haven't done anything I might regret(so far).

I'm going to play in a band in few days. It was completely last minute decision and it is ridiculously easy(cis and gis), but I'm stressed that I'll mess it up and since I have no space for mistake(one milimeter off and it sounds ridiculous). So, I had a desperate idea-what if I just... undertuned my D and A string? I play nothing else that day, even if I'll be tuning for an hour, I will have the time. A completely foolproof plan... or not?

Could siblings dance together at balls?

I have been watching Mansfield Park(and its lack of William😭), and once again thinking about this. If a sister was sitting, could her brother so she didn't have to be a wallflower? Since in Regency era, dance was more of social event than a romantic one, could William and Fanny dance together, or Mary and Henry(I feel like today, those two would be one hell of a sport dancing duo)?

There is though the mention in Emma that Emma and Mr Knightley can dance together because they are not so closely related, so I'm confused.

As a matter of fact, could two sisters dance together(ok, maybe I'm pushing it too far)?
