Have a personal grail I want to get signed/graded but it has two issues

A monster hunter walks into a bar Peach Momoko virgin gitd variant lmtd 50. Just came in today.

1: stress mark on the front bottom right corner.

2: small indent back cover bottom

It is a cardstock cover

I’ve already talked to one of our professional pressing services that said the fibers were already damaged and sending it in for a professional pressing would do very little for the book.

At this point I still plan to send it in to get it signed and graded because 1: it’s beautiful and 2: of the two I’ve seen listed in the last year it’s by far the best looking other than the two issues presented.

Anyone think it’s worth seeking second opinions from our pressing professionals or the community? I just got this today and it’s a tight turnaround to get it to CGC by September 18th

Got one of my grails in today and want to send it to get signed an graded, but it has two issues I need fresh eyes on

Realistically what are we looking at here for grading, and is there anything advice for remediation?

Have a grail I really want to get graded and signed, but need advice on two issues:

Update on GSC US shipping situation

They seem to be at least partially aware that it’s a system problem and not an intentional change. Pointed out an order of similar size costing drastically more month to month and got this back just today.

4 Commander Doom available on Target App. In other news, would it kill them to make thorn and doom available at the same time?

Do you think there’s a point in sending these two CBCS 9.8’s into CGC for crossover, or will they probably drop grade with these defects?

Issue #1 has a spine tick that breaks color on the black “dark horse 20 years bars” (hard to see under this light on camera. It also has a (presumably) manufacturing defect spot on the spine that overlaps on cover.

Issue #2 has a collection of small spine ticks and damage shown here.

My pot makes enough for two cortaditos, and there aren’t any other coffee drinkers on morning shift today. Staring at the second cup now.

Trying to pick the best from my PC. Think the front issue is sun bleached, or is it a printing ink thing and I’m imagining it?

Sideshow is giving me the Tantalus treatment via email today I guess.

Yes sideshow, I know I’m still on the waitlist.

Had echo signed by DBB today at a con. Need to take some white spirit and a fine tip swab and clean the oil smudges around the “e” and quotation marks later.

Tamamo Cross Kuripan Plushie is in stock on GoodSmile US in low quantities.

I added it to my cart until it gave me the “low quantities” warning. There are either three left of three is the cart limit. Grab her while you can!

Does anyone have experience shipping Doqute petit or full size through Zen Market? How much does it usually cost?

I can get a rough estimate of what a box might look like for one of these. For instance i know the rice shower measures at 60 cm (70 without the ears flattened) x 45 cm x 37 cm (53 without the tail flattened) and the weight is 2.6 kg. What I do not know however is how TAITO packages their boxes and what their sizes are. I was hoping someone might have experience ordering a petit plush from them that could give me a better idea.

Plan to get Echo signed this weekend. Do you think blue paint pen on the window or black paint pen on the card back? Or any other color suggestions?

May I have some advice from the brain trust here on cracking my slabs to get my books signed? Details in text.

I have KOTOR issues 1 and 2 9.8 in both CGC and in cbcs (I got a really good deal on both combined) My conundrum is as follows.

I generally collect raw, but I have the opportunity to start getting some of my keys and favorites from the series signed, and I am trying to get the best ones to display raw and signed. I’d like to avoid the future hassle of getting slabs cracked repeatedly to add signatures and I’m fine with a jsa label if I ever do want to pursue getting them graded. Knowing this my plan was to crack the two cbcs 9.8’s to get them signed and display them raw.

HOWEVER

Upon arrival the cbcs 9.8’a have a few notable flaws more than the cgc’s.

Issue #1 CBCS - has a production mark defect on spine that’s common in the Kotor run and especially that slot in issues 1-3. (See first pic)

Issue #1 CGC - nearly flawless, no visible spine wear.

Issue #2 CBCS - has a few small spine ticks around the swoop bike handle that’s pictured (see pic 2.) another common defect on issue 2. Another small spot of damage in center spine (see pic 3.) Small non color breaking dent in bottom that catches glare ( see pic 4.) Some small missing black paint on issue number (see pic 5.)

Issue #2 CGC - has some color rub around bottom staple (see pic 6.) and it’s staples can move a little loose allowing the pages to “peak out” from the top or bottom of the cover.

My question is this: should I just crack the considerably better CGC’s for signing? Would it be worth getting the CBCS slabs converted if I do crack my cgc’s? Or should I crack the cgc’s for my raw signed collection and just look at replacing the cbc’s in the future?

TLDR:
Want to crack some CBCS comics to collect raws that I want autographed, but they’re not quite as good as my CGC’s. Should I crack my CGC’s so I can get two really nice raw copies signed?

Please lend a grade? Pic 2 has a close up of biggest flaw (imo)

I’ve been collecting the entire run of Star Wars knights of the old republic for a few years now. I want to send some of the higher quality ones in for pressing soon. I like to collect raw so there is ease of storing, displaying, and getting them signed. This is the best #9 I’ve found raw in those years, but I am aware it’s not flawless. It has one small spine tick that becomes glaring because of the condition of the rest of the comic. I’m just curious in your experience what grade would it receive? I’ve collected some already slabbed 9.8’s in the past from this series with worse ticks, but I know that’s on a case to case basis with who’s doing the grading.
