Trying to feel like a real artist. Still failing, still painting.

Got into my first gallery this summer, then got into another. Both open this weekend and I'm just feeling like it was a fluke somehow and comparing my work to others and I've decided its shit 😂😅 figured someone on this sub could relate to the feeling.

Anyways here's a new painting I'm doin that I'm liking so far, hope you guys enjoy.

The one caused some massive burnout, but it was worth it

Acrylic on canvas. Had a gallery submission deadline so did it in two weeks.

Alright folks, here it is with it's official name: The Jaunt

If I wasn't submitting this to a gallery Forest Pussy would've definitely won, but here we are. Huge Stephen King fan so this suggestion was perfect. Thanks to everyone who commented on the last post and all the kind words and upvotes.

Acrylic on canvas and yes I did spend another day nitpicking details since the last photo so it is slightly different. It's now varnished/ completely done. Unless it doesn't get into the gallery then I'm gonna fix some more mistakes lol.

Is there a non alcoholic alternative to wine in cooking?

I'm a recovering alcoholic. Previously I loved to cook dishes with wine, however I can not be trusted to have any alcohol in my house even for a short period. I mean I could probably get through it but it's not worth the risk or stress.

Is there any comparable alternative to get a similar flavor and that amazing reduction process with no alcohol?

Just did my first marathon!

Walking the whole thing, took me around 9 hours. Albany to Stillwater NY (took the long way and got a little lost turning a 24 mile trip to a 26)

Went from my house to my best friends. Something I've wanted to do since I was little, I can't believe I did it. Feeling incredibly grateful to be in a body that could do this, and proud of myself for coming so far with my health.

I am nonbinary and 12 weeks post top surgery. It was so beautiful to do this in a body that fits me now. Obviously this was also a huge win in terms of top surgery recovery. I have bad ptsd and the walking helps so much. I am so lucky to be here and to be able to walk these miles.

P. S any tips for foot pain in the second half of 20+ mile walk? If I'm gonna do that again it would be great if I wasn't in such pain.
