The recent comments from Shoebridge and subsequent discussions between greens voters has been a bit concerning. I didn’t realise there was as many vocal people that have suss opinions on UKR as there are. Especially when polls have shown this to be a pretty solid 70-80/30-20 issue.

It makes me want to just acknowledge and appreciate that I never had to worry about Labor selling out Ukrainians to Russia. There are a lot of countries that moved towards authoritarian and populist right isolationist parties in 2024 and 2025, and I’m glad we didn’t.

The party leader change seems to have angered some of the more activist members of the base. I only know those people and the (fading) group who swing between voting for the greens or ALP based on the environment, but the latter are far less involved in politics.

I need a vibe and reality check from others cause some of the reaction has been pretty extreme and I need to know if this is just a bubble or a broader view. lol. Cheers in advance.

Hello all, hope this is allowed.

I’m looking for some people to help me like the photos on a pokemon stop so that I can turn it into a gym.

I live near a busy area so there are always the same 5 red players who knock everyone off the gyms and they never let me get coins 😭 it literally ruins my experience that they never have any etiquette lol.

I’m seeking some help to try and turn this spot into a gym so that I can at least try to guard it within the distance of my apartment complex to try and get my daily coins.

The spot coords are: 37.82569° S, 144.95666° E

Thank you to anyone that can help 🖤

Hi friends, I hope this question is allowed in your lovely sub.

I grew up extremely secular in a triple faith household so naturally I’m an atheist now lol. Within my Muslim family members, none of them wore a hijab or a niqab, and they just dressed how they wanted. It also helps that they live in a secular country even though it’s majority Muslim.

I wanted to ask where contemporary hijabi and niqabi dress came from? This single colour, extremely loose fitting full body covering or the plain and long head covering exclusively for worn. It’s not common to see people in various Muslim countries dressing in their traditional dress, which is sad in my view.

Thank you, and it brings me a lot of joy to see so many people finding peace in this sub.

Critiquing Mohammed or Islam broadly seems to illicit such a violent response online. It feels like it can’t just be bots. People are extremely sensitive to even subtle critiques or pointing out contradictions. Even historians who explore Islam are subjected to death threats.

Is this behaviour exhibited in equal amounts in Christianity or Hinduism? It doesn’t appear this way, but I may be wrong.

The curse of Hoopa continues.

All my homies hate Hoopa Tuesdays

(I’ve seen 1 showcase include dark type pokemon, and this is from a sample of approx 30 showcases around me)

Hi friends, this is a serious post and I’m just looking to better understand this topic from other Jewish people. For context, I am a mixed person who grew up in a secular household but I obviously have a cultural connection to my Jewish ethnicity and identity. Further context, I am also fortunate to live in a country that I love.

I’m often confused as to why other Jewish people say to me, or others, that they should move to Israel at this moment in time. Often this said in response to comments about antisemitism.

My response to them often comes in several forms:
- Israel is in the middle of multiple wars and subsequent air strikes frequently. I understand the dome defences are good, but this is still an active threat. There’s no need for bomb shelters where I live now.

- there’s also the fact that hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people on the Israeli border want the citizens dead.

- there’s also the government which I strongly disagree with, but that’s my own personal contention.

I understand why highly religious people would want to move to Israel, but I’d like to hear viewpoints from anyone willing to comment.
I hope everyone will comment respectfully. I would like to also note that I’m NOT American, so I’d appreciate a non-US centred discussion (where possible :)) thank you.

I feel so old lmao

The classics somehow never change.

Every vegan becomes white and rich, while every meat eater suddenly becomes an indigenous person living in the arctic with no access to supermarkets.

Although I will say, the “class warfare is more important than any other justice” is a new and incredibly annoying one.
