I never imagined that feeling lonely in America would completely change my life.
After moving here, I spent a lot of time alone. I missed my family, my friends, and the sense of community I grew up with. Instead of letting that feeling take over, I decided to teach myself programming.
I wasn’t a software engineer. I simply had an idea. I wanted to build an app where Arabs in the U.S. and Canada could connect, discover local businesses, find events, and hopefully feel a little less alone.
There were countless late nights, bugs, failed ideas, and moments when I thought about giving up. But I kept going.
Today, just 17 days after launching the app, we’ve reached 2,000 users.
Maybe that’s not a huge number to some people, but to me it’s proof that something built from loneliness can actually bring people together.
I’m genuinely happy today. This project gave me a purpose when I needed one the most.

إنجازي عملت تطبيق للعرب في امريكا وكندا وصار عندي حوالي ١٢٠٠ مستخدم خلال أسبوعين فقط
بعد أسبوعين من انطلاق تطبيق Habibi Plus وهو تطبيق يجمع الجالية العربية في امريكا وكندا والأردن وقريبا كل الدول .. اكثر من ١٠٠٠ مستخدم نشط
فكرة التطبيق تطبيق سوشيال ميديا للعرب مع قسم matching وهو قسم للراغبين بملاقاة نصيبهم ( اللي عايش بالغربة بعرف الموضوع شو صعب ومعقد ) مع وجود ضوابط شديدة وتدقيق على كل حساب ينضم لهذا القسم حتى يكون التطبيق محترم ونظيف بدون حسابات وهمية وشخصيات مريضة
التطبيق متاح حاليا في الأردن وكندا وأمريكا فقط على الآيفون والأسبوع القادم بكون موجود على الاندرويد

أنا مبرمج اردني وعايش في امريكا من حوالي ١٠ سنوات ، عملت تطبيق للعرب في امريكا وكندا ومن ضمن الخيارات جوا التطبيق في خيار تعارف بقصد الزواج مع كتير شروط صارمة حتى يكون جدي ومن غير هبل ، المهم التطبيق اساساً موجه للعرب في امريكا وكندا لكن لاحظت انه اغلب اللي ينضموا لصفحة التعارف جوا التطبيق هم صبايا من الأردن ( الله يستر عليهم جميعا ) ، سوالي هل الزواج صعب في الأردن مثل امريكا صاير او صار حلم اي حدا الهجرة ؟

I’m originally from Jordan and now living in the United States. Over the past few months, I’ve been working on an app that brings the Arab community in the U.S. and Canada together.
One of the main goals is to help Arabs living abroad connect with people who share their values and culture, especially those looking for a serious relationship that could lead to marriage. If you live in the U.S. or Canada, you probably know how difficult it can be to find the right person.
The app is currently available in the United States, Canada, and Jordan, and it’s still in the testing phase. I would really appreciate it if you could give it a try and share your honest feedback. Your suggestions will help improve the app and make it more useful for everyone.
