Girls please help me find affordable modest + trendy clothes 😭

Girls, please help me 😭 mujhe samajh hi nahi aa raha cute clothes kaha se lu.

Mujhe modest but trendy clothes chahiye — matlab normal/regular length tops, no deep neck, no crop tops, aur zyada body-fitted bhi nahi. Ghar pe mere clothes ko leke already bahut drama hota hai 😭 toh ye sab pehenne nahi dete.

But I still wanna dress cute yaar 😭🎀

Savana pe mujhe kaafi pretty tops mil rahe hain, exactly the type I like, but ₹1500–2000 for ONE TOP??? 😭 Bhai 2 mahine mein ek top khareed paungi uss budget mein.

So please koi website, Instagram store ya offline store batao jahan similar cute/modest tops ₹500–600 ke around mil jayein.

I’m looking for stuff like:

  • regular length
  • cute/feminine tops
  • puff sleeves, bows, pretty prints etc.
  • normal round/square neck (bas deep nahi 😭)
  • not body-hugging
  • basically Savana vibes but budget mein

Please apne hidden gems batao 😭🙏 Meesho/Ajio/Myntra/Zudio etc. anything works, bas quality decent ho.

MSc Bioinformatics at Bristol — what dissertation projects are available?

Hi everyone! 😊

I’m considering the MSc Bioinformatics at the University of Bristol and would really appreciate hearing from anyone who is currently studying or has completed the MSc Bioinformatics, particularly students/alumni from the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. I’m mainly trying to understand the 60-credit research/dissertation project and the types of topics MSc students can actually choose.

I’m particularly interested in human/biomedical computational biology, such as:

  • Human genomics and genetic variants
  • Cancer/disease genomics
  • RNA-seq/transcriptomics
  • Multi-omics
  • Computational immunology
  • AI/ML applied to human/biomedical data
  • Structural bioinformatics related to human/medical research

I’ve seen Bristol examples involving AI and medicine, antimicrobial resistance, structural biology, comparative genomics and plant/evolutionary genomics, but I’m unsure how common the human/biomedical projects are for MSc students.

Do MSc Bioinformatics students regularly get opportunities to work on human/biomedical projects, or are most dissertation projects focused on areas such as plant, microbial, evolutionary/population or structural bioinformatics? If you’re a current student or alumnus, I’d really appreciate it if you could share what kind of dissertation projects you or your classmates actually worked on. I’m hoping to eventually pursue a research-focused PhD in computational biology in the US, so this is quite important to me when deciding between programmes.

Any experiences would be really appreciated. Thank you! 😊

How do I properly mew? I can't get the middle of my tongue up.

Hi everyone,

I've been trying to learn proper mewing, but I'm confused.

Everyone says:

  • Keep the tip/front of the tongue just behind the upper front teeth (not touching them).
  • Then swallow saliva to create a vacuum so the whole tongue sticks to the roof of the mouth.

The problem is that I can't create that vacuum.

I can lift:

  • ✅ the front of my tongue
  • ✅ the back of my tongue

But the middle part of my tongue won't stay on the palate. It feels like there's a gap in the middle, and I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Is this normal for beginners?

Can someone explain:

  1. How do you actually create the suction/vacuum?
  2. Should I force the tongue up or should it happen naturally after swallowing?
  3. Any exercises to activate the middle of the tongue?
  4. If possible, please explain in Hindi, because I'm finding English tutorials confusing.

Thanks in advance!

Should I take the risk of studying abroad or stay in India?

Hi.☺️

I'm from India and recently received an offer from the University of Glasgow for an MSc in Bioinformatics. I also received a £6,000 scholarship, but from what I understand, every international student who receives an offer for this programme gets that scholarship.

The problem is that I'm feeling very conflicted.

my\_qualifications - BSc (Hons) in Agriculture, and bioinformatics is a field I'm genuinely excited about. I love the idea of combining biology with coding and working with DNA and genetics. The issue is that this isn't a course I can easily pursue in India with my background, so studying abroad seems like one of my best opportunities.

At the same time, it's a huge financial decision. We'd need an education loan, and me and my family is worried about the cost😭.Some of them think I should forget about going abroad and just study in India instead. One family member even called Glasgow an "altu-faltu" (useless) university, which really hurt😭 because I had just received the offer.

Another thing making me overthink is how quickly I got the offer. I applied on 23 June and received the offer on 25 June 🤔. Part of me keeps wondering if that's normal or if I'm missing something.

I'm also waiting to hear back from Leeds and Edinburgh, so I don't have all my options yet.

If you were in my position, what would you do? Would you take the opportunity, or would you choose to stay in India? I'd especially love to hear from anyone who has studied abroad, taken an education loan, or works in bioinformatics.

Thank you for reading. 🤍

Need life advice: Should I take the risk of studying abroad or stay in India?

Got a U cut with long layers and chin-length face framing. What should I ask for to fix this?

Help me guys 😭 😭

I asked for a U cut with long layers and face-framing layers starting from my chin. I showed reference photos, but the result looks very different from what I wanted.

The front looks okay, but the back feels heavy and the layers don't seem to flow the way I expected. After the salon blowout wore off, the haircut started looking choppier to me and the shape wasn't what I had in mind. I feel like crying 😭 😭

I'm willing to lose a bit more length if that's what it takes to improve it.

What exactly should I do to get closer to the reference style? More layers? Better blending? Shorter face-framing pieces? Something else?

Confused between MSc offers from Reading, Leeds, and Cardiff Met – Agriculture, Plant Biotechnology, or Food Science?

Hi everyone,

I recently received conditional offers from several UK universities and I'm feeling quite confused about which course and university would be the best choice for my future career.

My offers are:

* University of Reading – MSc Agriculture and Development * University of Reading – MSc Nutrition and Food Science * University of Leeds – MSc Plant Science and Biotechnology * Cardiff Metropolitan University – MSc Food Science and Technology

My background is a BSc (Hons.) Agriculture, and I'm interested in research, industry jobs, and possibly pursuing a PhD later. However, I also need to consider employability because I may need to take a loan for my studies.

Some questions I have:

  1. Which of these courses has the strongest job market in the UK and internationally?
  2. How difficult is it for international graduates to find jobs in these fields after graduation?
  3. Is Plant Science and Biotechnology a better career path than Food Science or Agriculture and Development?
  4. Does the university reputation make a significant difference for employment in these sectors?
  5. If you were in my position, which offer would you choose and why?
  6. Should I continue applying to US universities instead, or are these UK options strong enough for career growth and future PhD opportunities?

I would really appreciate insights from current students, graduates, researchers, or anyone working in agriculture, biotechnology, plant science, or food science.

Need help with damaged/frizzy hair

Hi everyone. My hair has become really dry, frizzy, rough and damaged-looking lately. It tangles easily, has lots of flyaways, and the ends look unhealthy. I attached photos for reference.

I used to have dandruff/seborrheic dandruff before, but I got it treated by a doctor and the dandruff is mostly under control now. The issue is that my hair quality still feels terrible.

Also, a lot of commonly recommended things don’t suit me:

Coconut oil causes a LOT of hair fall for me

Some shampoos make my hair feel like straw

Heavy conditioners like dove sometimes increase shedding or make my scalp uncomfortable

My hair:

long

slightly wavy/frizzy naturally

dry in lengths but scalp gets oily after a few days

medium thickness I think

Can you guys recommend:

gentle shampoo

lightweight conditioner

leave-in/serum

oils other than coconut oil

routines for frizz + breakage + hair fall together

Also, does my hair look:

protein damaged?

moisture overloaded?

heat damaged?

or just dry and poorly maintained?

Budget-friendly recommendations would really help 😭
