Would you move back to your home/country if it had the same quality of life as the US/European nations?

For economic migrants and asylum seekers who have been to the west for a half a decade or longer my question is simple. If your country were to suddenly reach a quality of life and income of the best western countries would you move back?

Personally, I came/migrated as a child; most of my friends are American so I’d love to stay given circumstances. I understand current trends are about remigration and how many communities/ethnicities can’t/wont assimilate.

However , given my experiences and growing up in a melting pot I struggle to believe that it’s entirely hopeless. The west with all its faults in its past 500 years managed to build a secular, innovative, and fairly just system after decades of war and internal conflicts. The culture is also completely unmatched, the sports culture alone is something that my country or region would never be able to replicate in a thousand years, that and other reasons are why I believe despite the sudden increase in wealth I don’t think I’d be able to leave America (unless obviously forced too).

Anyways long story short I would stay, however, I fully understand fears of long term natives and locals. I don’t support mass migration as it disturbs the order of many communities. However, I fully do support moderate migration with clear processes and rules. I’d love to know what other immigrants think.

Currently leasing an i4 that was 399/mo after the Biden era tax credits. Obviously with the lease coming to an end in a year and no more credits I’m looking for options.

I’m not interested in Mazdas or Toyotas so please don’t mention them but I’m curious for those who have owned/leased either or the other which one you prefer (also similar models, even Audis).

I’m expecting to pay around 1200/months after insurance for either.

Income is just under 80k but expected to rise to six figures by 2028 if that matters, obviously if I haven’t secured my promotion I won’t go through with the lease but I’m looking forward for the future (12-16 months).
