I have been in the hobby for a few months. I am trying to do this on a budget and one of the most persistent advice I have seen is to avoid single issues.

I know a lot of people are big fans of omnibuses and compact editions have their crowed but I haven't seen many people talk about why they like/prefer single issues. I personally am more of a trade/compact reader.

So if you prefer to buy comics in single issues or maybe an entire run as single issues : why does that appeal to you ?

I am thinking of making a battle box of premodern decks. One of my favourite archetypes is storm. I would love to have storm as one of my decks. However I am not sure if it can keep up with other decks like phycatog or terravore that I want to include in my battle box.

Any suggestions for how to make it work ?

The year is changing in a bit over 3 months. What would you like to see from the comics industry in 2027 ?

Personally I would want more companies offering affordable 10€ compact comics

So I bought the image in the twenties bundle from humble. 23€ for 70 comics (even if digital) was too good for me to pass up.

I mainly wanted to read 8 billion genies and sunburn. Now that I finished these two books, which one would you suggest I read next ?

I plan to eventually read everything (or at least everything I find appealing) but what would you recommend ?

I am thinking about starting to collect sorcery. I would prefer to collect foils and I want to see what other people do.

Do you collect full sets of foils ? Make theme pages ? Get cards you use at decks ? A certain artist ?

I think I will try to get ordinary foils. Probably in order to make theme pages. Also, how do you display them in a binder ? with the front or the back ?

I got into sorcery a little while back. I bought and split with some college friends the gothic precons, I even proxied a precon sized Templar deck to go with the other precons. We played a few times with various amount of success (still figuring out the rules). However I moved out and my island is quite small without even and lgc.

Basically, I don't think I will be playing irl for the foreseeable future. However I like this game, it's my favourite tcg and I want to still engage with it.

Any online ways to play that you would recommend? What about collecting? I have seen that foils in Europe can be reletavly cheap (ordinaries are like 2€ in trolls of the realm if I am not mistaken) and I am thinking about commiting to a sorcery dedicated binder. What other things could I collect on a budget ?

For the longest time booster packs used to cost around 4€. A few still do. But has a game ever tried to actually overprint it's game pieces ? I am thinking something like sports cards where certain collections are cheap as dirt while others have premium pricing

I think in a modern climate it could be viable. Have dirt cheap packs and introduce game pieces widely available while you either focus entirely on gameplay or have luxury products with more rares/holographic cards for collectors

So I have gotten into comics seriously in the past 4 months. Mainly with DC compact comics.

Yesterday I read a hellboy story on my phone. I am low key hooked and I want to read more stories. However I am not sure what I should collect physically or digitally. I try to keep a budget of 30€ per month so digital probably suits me more (excluding buying a tablet if I see this seriously).

However I still want to have some things in physical form. How would you recommend me to decide what I buy and what I read digitally?

We tried a 3 player game with junk, Blackwing a and rose dragons. Slightly upgraded from the box with some proxies

The jank player took a lot of time with his combos. Blackwing didn't know some of his cards and I want to think I took up the least amount of time.

I love Yu-Gi-Oh but I don't think we should ever play 3 player again.

Especially when you proxy everything.

Most of my decks use secret lairs arts and i love seeing them in action. Some of my favourites include :

The arcade machine artstyle.

The old school frame for the signets.

The simple art lands.

If you play magic as intended (proxying) I see nothing bad about them.

I have a list of tcgs I collect. Mainly decks with Digimon being the only one I have exclusively a binder for but no decks :

I have some leftover sleeves enough for around 3 decks. Which tcg would you suggest ? I am mainly looking for something simple I can teach to a friend easily and sit down to enjoy a game with.

Me and my friends have started playing Yu-Gi-Oh the last few months. We decided that from now on we will be allowing full proxy decks. So far I have a rose dragon and a lightsworn deck. I would like to have some more decks to have verity.

I don't know what's a good number to aim for. I thought about a deck building challenge where I get one deck for each extra deck summoning mechanic (not exclusively but primarily for that summoning mechanic)

Maybe just one more deck with an interesting archetype, another idea is to get 5 decks each around a certain element (I already have light and nature) or maybe pick a deck building set (probably the latest) and build decks from all three archetypes.

How do you decide which decks to play/build ? How many decks would you say it's a good number for someone to play ?

Me and some friends are getting Into the game. I personally have the rose dragon deck from the 5D decks, the lightsworn precon and I am getting some singles for a GMX deck.

We agreed that each deck will use 5 proxies per deck since we want to stay within a budget as we upgrade

I hope that we can find more people in our island to play eventually (just 3 of us rn) and I was wondering what's the general opinion regarding proxies and if you had any personal experiences with them used in casual settings ?

Hey y'all, me and my friends just opened the 5d decks, after a quick game of just the first turn because they had to leave and we took too long reading the cards, they seem quite fun.

However I would like to know if there is a guide somewhere that can help us learn the combo lines of the decks my friend who got the junk deck has some upgrades ready so I am good on that deck. However me with rose dragons and my friend with black wings need some help.

I personally think I will buy just a couple more cards to upgrade it but my friend with the black wings might keep it as it is or with a few changes due to a slim budget and us allowing only 5 proxies per deck so I would really appreciate help on learning the lines

Hey, I am new to the game.

I will be exclusively playing with friends since I don't have an lgc on my island. And I was wondering how many decks I will end up with.

Currently I have 2.5. a lightsworn stracture deck I want to upgrade. A black rose dragon from the 5d collection that's on its way and a proxied goat deck that I will likely not use often.

I wanted to ask how many decks do you have and what number do you think is the ideal one?
