First my ranting- FIFA is the epitome of corruption in the sports world.

Ticket prices have skyrocketed compared to the 2022 World Cup. When searching for a cheaper seat on the marketplace, they automatically suggest higher-priced tickets because they can earn more from buyer fees. Why even display the cheapest seats then? I understand that someone might have purchased them, but those should be automatically updated. The seat selection UI is the worst I’ve ever seen. Despite having a lot of money, they couldn’t even bother to improve the UI.

I attended the France vs. Spain game yesterday and bought tickets an hour before the game. I paid $600 from a person on Facebook Marketplace whom I met at the stadium for Cat 2 tickets, but ended up sitting in Cat 1 sections because there were many empty seats. Many people did the same at halftime and moved to Cat 1 sections.

My best advice for anyone who hasn’t bought tickets is to wait until the last minute before the match starts. If you’re near the venue or local, that’s the best option. Avoid buying from the last-minute sales site; instead, buy from the marketplace. Alternatively, Facebook Marketplace and local meetups are essential for Facebook Marketplace. There are plenty of tickets and there is a no way they’ll run out tickets. Also, do not buy tickets for 3rd party sites such as StubHub or others at the last minute. They might not be able to transfer tickets on time.
