It says right here that while they’re not ACTUALLY conjuring the elements, the effects are actually there, not just for the audience. Basically if you’re a powerful enough swordsman, the visuals appear?
Compass Needle: 9/10. Compass Needle is his opening move in probably any fight, and it makes sense. It enhances his already heightened senses and makes him almost impossible to sneak up on. Anyone who says it’s a crutch or something needs to remember FIGHTING ISN’T JUST THROWING BLOWS BUT STRATEGY AS WELL.
Air Type: 7/10. His most basic attack, and from what we’ve seen, it can either be shot in quick bursts like against Rengoku where it’s more push back, or like he uses against Giyuu, if he charges it up, it can deal some serious damage.
Crushing Type, Ten Thousand Leaves Flashing Willow: 6/10. Theres nothing inherently wrong with this one, it’s just the least impressive to me.
Disorder: 8/10. While I LOVE this move and it always looks awesome whenever Akaza uses it, it doesn’t do much. Rengoku used Flame Tiger and ran right through it. The first time Giyuu saw it, he used Dead Calm to deflect it and the second time, Giyuu, admittedly marked and pissed, uses Drop Ripple Thrust to seemingly match its power.
Leg Type, Explosive Fury: 9/10. Literally just a more effective and seemingly more powerful Disorder. A flurry of shockwave blasts but from the leg instead of the fists. We saw it only once and Giyuu was sent flying across the infinity castle, hurting his back in the process.
Leg Type, Crown Splitter: 8/10. I love the delayed shockwave wirh this once, it gives off a time lag, double impact type feel. The initial strike is followed a second layer by an outward blast, and as it showed, it can do some heavy damage even if it barely touches its target.
Leg Type, Flying Planet Thousand Wheels: 7.5/10. I love how instead of throwing the enemy back, this one actually pushes against the enemy and launches Akaza along with his opponent to crush them into a wall.
Eight Layered Demon Core: 7/10. Uh… it just feels like a bunch of charged up Air Types, which granted, Disorder is basically just a flurry of air types, but I dunno, this one just doesn’t have the cool factor to me.
Annihilation Type: 9.5/10. A very simple but powerful technique, clearly meant for single target obliteration. Using two powerful condensed orbs of his shockwave energy, he launched it at his opponent, and it’s better showed against himself than Rengoku, but it does some SERIOUS damage and just looks awesome.
Blue Silver Chaotic Afterglow: 10/10. The movie made this ku favorite move in the series. If the movie hadn’t come out yet, this would’ve probably gotten a 7, but the movie made it so much cooler. It’s basically an explosion which has virtually no way of being predicted as even Akaza doesn’t entirely know where every attack is going. He’s just throwing out attacks in all directions at once.
Something I love about Akaza, and really all the Demons, is none of their attacks are complicated. They don’t need some 30 second long explanation, the powers are meant to be simple and effective in combat. It makes sense because Muzan wouldn’t have any need for powers that need a while for his demons to learn. It’s also likely why they’re linked so closely to their personalities, despite them NEVER BEINF EXPLAINED WHAT SO EVER! That I remember.
This girl came in right after Shinobu’s back was snapped and began fighting Doma. She fought him one on one for the entire duration of both Kaigaku vs Zenitsu and Akaza vs Giyuu and Tanjiro. Like this girl fought the third strongest demon one on one for a good while. I’d say upwards of an hour given how long the Akaza battle was.
The ONLY one here Harumi would beat is Sora because this is before she unlocked her powers, and before she got martial arts training.
She has literally no way of even hurting Morro. Let’s forget about his wind because he doesn’t have it anymore. He’s still a student of master Wu, which is more training than Harumi ever got. She is literally just some random chick with a sword. Overlord didn’t even give her any powers that we saw in 15.
If she’s not beating powerless Morro, she’s not beating Skylor in season 4, because she has 2 states in that season. She either has all the elements she’s absorbed, or she’s in her snake form which makes her stronger, more durable, and faster.
Harumi is, in terms of physical threat, the WEAKEST main in the series.
Akaza is my favorite character and has my favorite abilities in the series, but let’s be totally honest, it’s the most basic bitch power any demon notable has. It’s just energy blasts/shockwave blasts. However with Akaza’s bare handed martial arts fighting style, it fits so well. It makes every strike so much harder to predict because you don’t know what kind of range it’ll have. Even the special attacks are basically just pulling Vegeta’s infamous “Spam blasts” move. Disorder, Explosive Fury, Eight Layered Demon Core, and Blue Silver Chaotic Afterglow are all kinda the same, but they all feel different due to the beautiful art design done for the BDA. Also yes, there’s Compass Needle but even that’s basically just enhanced senses.
Like this so cool. To take such a simple game and make something like this is genuinely amazing to see.
The only reason the initial Growing Strange level is actually even remotely hard anymore is because of this fucker.
Like Homelander may be one of the worst fighters I’ve seen in super hero media in a long time. He just spams his lasers or throws the most telegraphed punches ever. Yes that’s partially due to the fight choreography in the boys being uh… pretty lacking, but we’re looking at in universe in character here. Also, he has no battle IQ. When he’s just killing people, he’s smarter than when he NEEDS to be smart. When he’s fights, he seems to forget his power of super speed which we’ve seen once or twice is on par with A Train.
There’s probably something I can do to make it better, but I don’t really care right now. Any suggestions would be appreciated, but I FINALLY have a load out to beat Growing Strange… at least some of the levels.
His cloning seems to need severed body parts, and her fighting style distinctively DOESN’T involve severing and slicing. She stabs and poisons opponent instead. Plus she’s quick, so she can likely get out of the way of the sound waves since that was the only attack we saw Hantengu himself use.

You’re telling me I gotta do this initial level which isn’t… like CRAZY difficult, but then I gotta go through another one full of powerful enemies of a single type? It’s not just me right, this is bullshit.
