Some books are wholly romantic and focus on plot and lore and don’t even feature sex on page.

Some books have sex scenes and the parts between are just describing how they get to the next one.

Some books are better for having less sex, as I would rather books have no sex than bad sex, to be honest.

What is your ideal ratio? And how detailed do you like it? A lot of not detailed scenes or just one detailed scene? What is your ratio and where on the quantity/quality spectrum do you lie?

I love a slowburn, so when I say I want about 70-80% percent plot, I mean I want a good book, and then end it with an absolutely filthy and explicit scene. Open door? There is no door. They are under a slide of an electron microscope.

Shame that I can’t really find many books like that. Tbh, even most of the smut books I have read just have a lot of sex, and not a little quality sex. Maybe I just have impossible quality standards, haha.

I love a good slow burn romantasy.

You know what would make them better? An inhuman ML. And none of that shifter nonsense either, where he’s a monster during the mild parts and boring when it’s spicy. I’m looking for an ML with inhuman anatomy in a book that isn’t just smut (Wolves and Dragons preferred, but I will take anything that isn’t just a human with powers). I want the build up, the slow burn, and an even better payoff when it finally does happen. Give me some knots. Give me some flares. Give me some proportions worthy of a fantasy novel.

Please, fellow fantasy romance enthusiasts, share with me the forbidden knowledge of a book like that, if it exists.

Also, if you can recognize my username, firstly: Life before death. Secondly, if it also had worldbuilding even half as good it would be actually perfect. The only Romantasy series I’ve read that even comes close to the feel of that series is the War of Lost Hearts.

I’m about to jump in against a bunch of shardbearers with this opinion but: Rhythm of War was my favorite book of the five.

I wept multiple times through that book. There’s always a moment or two that make me a bit teary eyed, but this book had me weeping, in multiple places.

I can’t just not love something that had me feeling so deeply.

Long story short: I no longer have any friends, really, and I need to make at least one. It’s hard though, because I’m an adult and introverted. So, here I am, looking for a person I can hop in a discord call with a few mornings a week, play some games, and get to know. I don’t want to be too hopeful, but I would like to find my new best friend. I am usually free around 9am to 2pm Eastern on most days.

I like to play just about anything socially. I have a pretty decent sized steam library, but the games I am really into are: EDF 5, LoL, and Warframe. I am pretty new at the first two, but would love to find someone I can get better with.

Have plenty of cozy sim/builder games and coop slop too.

Outside of games, my biggest hobby is reading and writing. If you like Brandon Sanderson or Romantasy, please hmu.

I don’t need a lot of people in my life. Really, I just need one whom I feel understands me and I understand them. That person is no longer in my life, and I would like to see if I can find someone whom I can build that type of friendship with.

Picked it up on the sale going on. Just wanted to double check since googling it didn’t directly answer the question I have:

Stats with no star next to it cannot be upgraded, right?
Intuition says they cannot, but I just wanted to make sure.

I read all of the mainline Stormlight Books.
I am approaching the end of The Final Empire.

Something I’ve been thinking about is:

What would happen if the main crew of Stormlight joined the thieving crew? Mid-story Vinn is basically Shallan-lite. Kaladin or Dalinar would have done far better with the rebels it isn’t even funny. But what about the lord ruler?

His combat feats aren’t that impressive, that I have seen. The biggest question is whether or not shardplate/blades would be affected by steel/iron allomancy, and tbh, I doubt they are… considering. I don’t think they count as metal, even if the lord ruler can affect… trace elements… Sure, he might be able to push and pull Kaladin in his plate, but given the weight of the plate. It’s going to take some finesse that Kaladin would not give him.

His biggest weapon against Kaladin, tbh, and the reason he would probably beat Kaladin, would be the Wretch tbh. He would have to battle Kaladin not head on, but fight with the Wretch instead like Moash (Fuck be upon him).

Looking for a new friend that I can play League with sometimes in the morning, around 0900 on the east coast. I usually play ARAM, Swift, or Normals, just trying to get better at playing ADC, because that's the role I really want to get good at. I'm looking for a friendly support to play with who's also up for being friends outside of league.

I'm pretty chill and open-minded. Don't really tolerate hate or 'edgy' humor though. Discord would be the preferred method of talking during games. Outside of league, I enjoy reading, writing, and audiobooks. Romantasy is my poison of choice.
