225/60/r17 winter tires

We have a 2022 big bend that is used mostly as a daily suburban vehicle

We are not doing any off road

I have a spare set of the above winters in excellent shape and I’m looking for some feedback on using the lower wall tires

I know they are not optimal or approved however will they be safe enough to use for basic winter driving

Is the 3% difference enough to concern about ?

Thoughts ?

Just need some confirmation please

I’m running evilnat 4.92.x is updating to 4.93.2 cfw as easy as it looks

Download pkg transfer to my ps3 install package ? Reboot and profit ?

Or am I missing something obvious like recovery and installing the pup from usb the traditional way ?

Thanks

Touch gen 1 in 2026 ?

Both my wife and daughter got themselves modern kobos a Clara Color and Libra Color 2 I think ?

Anyway they love them and it got me thinking for myself

There is a kobo touch gen 1 for 40$ Canadian on fbm and was cautious about it

We use calibre for all thier books and it would be the same here

I’m not worried about reading in the dark cause I don’t do that

Thoughts in a touch in 2026 ?

Oh I have a microsd card I can use for it already

What port is this on my drives ?

Got some Seagate drives (3tb) and I’m just checking smart status and noticed this port

I’m familiar with master slave jumpers from way back

Is this a sas port ?

ANSWERED: it’s a diagnostics port that I don’t need to care about it’s also not sas

Thanks everyone!!

so my RAIDZ1 pool seems to report that all is fine, my TrueNAS seems to become unreachable from time to time, and SDE is loaded with red in it's ledger from SMART tests, some googling infers that the drive is failing, i'm kinda new to TrueNAS so i'm looking for some guidance. All the other drives are Green with a few Yellow aborts, TrueNAS is resilvering .

i have a replacement drive for this one, it's as easy as pulling this one out and dropping in the new one, TrueNAS will resilver and away i go yeah ?

or am i misunderstanding this ?

Ok i have a pretty simple setup i have a mini pc running proxmox with usually only one interface (my network is simple enough).

DONT LAUGH at the next bit.

i have a need to recovery and old HP EX470

I've got a windows xp 32 vm running with all the software i need with a valid ip on vmbr0

however in the traditional recovery process you would direct connect the server to a computer via ethernet so that there is no other DHCP server on the network. the recovery software has the dhcp server and software for all this ..

so i'm thinking i can simulate this with a second interface on my proxmox.

i hve a USB C to ethernet adaptor proxmox. reads it no problem.

do i create a linux bridge for that interface like vmbr1 and i don't think i need an ip for that as in the real world it wouldn't have an ip.

and then. just attach vmbr1 to the xp vm, drop vmbro0 as we don't need it for this process until recovery is complete ?

or should i use something other than a linux bridge for this ?

does this sound sensible?

before anyone asks why i'm trying to recover this ancient thing it has 6 years of digital photos of my family on it 😄
