Just wanna discuss real quick about how some people insist Fungi From Yuggoth XXII: Azathoth is evidence that Azathoth dreams reality. Even when I first read the poem, I just could not find any indication to what people were talking about, yet it is still cited as evidence, so I just wanna quickly go over what the poem was actually saying.

"Here the vast Lord of All in darkness muttered
Things he had dreamed but could not understand,"

"They danced insanely to the high, thin whining
Of a cracked flute clutched in a monstrous paw,
Whence flow the aimless waves whose chance combining
Gives each frail cosmos its eternal law."

I have reread this poem countless times to make sure I was not misunderstanding, but no, it simply does not state that Azathoth dreams reality. It does say that he is dreaming, but not reality itself. What the poem's actually saying is that the wave of music played by the flute-players when combined create the laws of many universes, possibly the laws of physics. The music is what is creating reality, not Azathoth's dreaming. So, in a way, yes, Azathoth's slumber did create reality, just not in the way many people think. Though I'd argue the idea of universes and reality being created as a side effect from music played by cosmic creatures to put a bigger cosmic monster to sleep is probably just as if not more cool and interesting than that cosmic monster dreaming reality. But that's just my opinion.
