Exceed SE is a weird hybrid between Exceed 1 and Exceed 2:

- Doesn't suffer from hold tap issue of Exceed 1 (so Exceed 2 engine)
- Exceed 2 Judgment font
- Exceed 2 song list but only ONE Exceed 2 song is present (Canon D), also lacks some Exceed 1 songs (Xibom, Oh rosa spanish and First love spanish)
- Lacks most of Premiere 3 world music songs that are present in Exceed 2 (On your side, Everybody, Lay it down, Let the sunshine)
- Exceed 2 chart ratings
- no Remix station and Battle station

Exceed PSP has basically the same song list as Exceed SE but out of all SE exclusive songs, only I love you baby is present

Hey guys, we noticed that there has been a lot of discussions and disagreements about our current NSFW rule. Basically, the main consensus we can see is that people wanted to limit NSFW posts since this is supposed to be a main subreddit for Touhou Project discussion after all.
We are proposing a new change that should hopefully balance what people want and what works for the sub - Non OC NSFW posts will no longer be allowed.

I'm proud to announce my new buyer's guide, this is for Canon camcorders. This sheet lists all Canon camcorders from 2003 to 2015 including prosumer models like the XL2, XL H1 and XH A1. I'll add more models later, let me know what you think about it!

I see people keep shitting on Reddit moderators for all the time (and the overabundance of "READ BEFORE POSTING" posts) but I think the hate is overexaggerated. You can see subs with little moderations yourself, it's just a bad experience. No less than 10 posts with the same commonly asked question or topic that can easily be searched on google and they all have 0 upvotes. I don't think "I'm new here" is a valid reason for not doing researches, if you're getting into any hobby or niche you should have done researches yourself before entering instead of waiting for online people to spoonfeed you. Moderation and curation are needed for every sub and niche but I do think some subs get too strict with it (especially those that have a permaban-on-sight policy)

1: Disable auto slow shutter so your video remains smooth no matter the lighting

2: On cameras that don't have Optical Steadyshot (OIS on Canon), Disable active steadyshot (active IS on Canon) to get more of sensor area = better quality.

You need to read the manual, if you can't find the word "optical" when it mentions stabilization, your camcorder doesn't have OSS (OIS on canon)

3: Certain standard definition tapeless camcorders with 16:9 LCDs actually have a 4:3 sensor, disable widescreen to get the most resolution out of it (DCR-SX45 / 65 / 85 is an example). You can verify whether it has a 4:3 sensor or not by observing if you get more field of view when you disable widescreen

4: Use the maximum bitrate (9Mbps on standard definition tapeless camcorders, on HD camcorders it depends a lot on the models) to get the most quality

5: It’s recommended to buy models with internal storage so you get some extra storage boost when your card runs out or you forgot your card

6: It’s better to buy one huge battery than multiple small batteries if your camcorder has an open slot

7: use handbrake to properly deinterlace videos to 50p / 60p

8: More often than not, the card slot on tape camcorders are useless, don't pay much attention to it. (Except MicroMV camcorders where you can record VCD quality videos onto memory cards, 352x240 29.97fps for NTSC and 352x288 25fps for PAL)

9: Unless you really need 4 channel audio, you should always use 16 bit audio on DV camcorders for better audio quality
10: Avoid Sony MiniDV tapes if you can since they have a tendancy to clog the video heads
