Went through all leaks on both the regular Genshin leaker tracker and the sus leaker tracker and did some analysis of their prior leaks.

The good news: the absolutely best leaker among them, DK2, has not declared Pantalone unplayable. This also happens to be a very recent leak compared to the rest.

DK2s leak history includes:

-Telling us two months into Natlan that there'd be no more playable 5 star males(correct)

-Confirming Capitano + harbingers are not playable during Natlan(correct)

-Confirming Dottore wouldn't be playable during 6.x(correct)

So now he has said in the past month that Rooster/Ronova do not have playable plans(so a different harbinger + a hype waifu are definitely not planned for playability) yet stated Pantalone as an "unknown."

So takeaways:

-DK2 has a long history of roadmap leaks(going into 3 regions)

-has a history of telling people which harbingers are/aren't playable in the past 3 regions

-Is not a ragebaiter, just gives accurate information.

I think if DK2, who has always had a huge handle of what is going on with harbingers, is declaring Pantalone as an 'unknown' status .... its cause he's aware Pantalone is playable and is, for whatever reason, shying from actually confirming that ... OR knows that hoyo internally are in early but serious considerations of making Pantalone playable -- possibly for next region if not this one.

Anyway, just wanted to share. I think it's huge our number 1 roadmap leaker/Harbinger info source has not declared Pantalone unplayable in the very same leak he endorsed Ronova/Pucinella weren't being planned to get a release.

I would not at all be surprised if he's a "throwback" character released in 8.x -- meaning he's released in a patch where we visit a prior region(same way we went back to Mondstadt for Varka in 6.4, and back to Mondstadt for Lohen in 6.6, and back to Sumeru for Emilie in 4.8, and back to Liyue for Baizu in 3.whatever ... ). I dont think for a second Pantalone is "doomed" if he doesn't come out in 7.x specifically. Hoyo would be better off visiting old regions for a hype lore character like a harbinger(or Varka!) rather than for unknown/unimportant characters that wont generate hype.

Trying not to freak out over Dottores soulbox having 'magic emission' but i totally am. Both in a good and bad way.

Im like quasi celebrating, quasi fearful this is just some sort of weird plot thing we are misinterpreting. Like maybe its for a flashback where pantalone puts his soul into the Leylines, or maybe it lights up due to the delusion in it? Maybe its just his final gift to his comrades to assist with stopping Celestia...

But damn. I feel like answers are coming whether its good news or bad news.

Feeling very mixed so far.

So tend to be a tall male character fan, but like some of the shorter men too. To give some insight on how this effects my pulling/spending, I got several tall males C6 but my only C6 short king is Wanderer, otherwise short kings tend to be in the C0-C2 range(Lyney C2, Durin C2, Lohen C1). As a rule the gals on my account are my lowest investments, then the short kings are above them, then tall men as my deep investments.

Let me start off by saying I like Mitya's design on a superficial level(lovely model) and going off voiceline count spoilers it seems like Mitya has pretty significant importance in the early AQ. So Im relatively excited for him and currently plan to C2 -- maybe he can get me whale harder the way Wanderer did. He kinda has semi-shill vibes the way Varka did(early appearance before his debut with a lot of voicelines, so maybe he gets an animation + awesome debut patch just like Varka did).

For Valerie: Leaker Littlepuppet saying Val was 5 star and other details had me super convinced Val would be coming out as 5 star but at least one leaker is doubling down on him being 4 star. If he IS 4 star that means Varka seems to be "the limited 5 star tall male of 2026" and we won't get the next tall male until sometime in 2027(over a year wait). It's a shame if Val is truly 4 star. Vals character reveal short was only behind the tsaritsa in terms likes/views on both youtube and instagram. Literally the character EN-speaking audience may be most excited for behind archon and may be doomed to be 4 star. Noy and Pantalone are vying against each other for second most viewed/liked man on instagram/youtube.

Anyway some voices in the deep fandom are clearly unhappy Val may have been the chosen 4 star and are expressing disappointment. Also the livestream appeared to show Val is definitely without a litchpin, but also maybe Mitya too. Some male-character fans are voicing their concerns, and then suddenly leaks on Noy's role + Dainsleif late region drop (if these leaks end up being real -- you can't friggin tell me Hoyo doesn't control 90% of leaks. Multiple leaks of 'later region male character news' drops as people despair over 7.0 livestream male characters ... reeks of HSR community getting male-team leaks during ashveil's banner specifically).

Anyway even if Noy and Dainlseif are the only tall male 5 stars, getting them + 4 star Val is actually a better 'tall male' deal than Nod Krai, they just didn't actually spread out their releases in a way that prevents a major drought. Waiting maybe a year or longer after Varka for a 5 star tall male specifically is a long damn time.

And Dain is cool, I'll pull him with cons if Im not unhappy with the game by the time he drops, but man I really really want Dottore/Capitano and/or Pantalone in a way that feels very important to me. I do think Dottore is slated for a return based off of a lot of teasing/simulanka-hints + other habringer voicelines not acknowledging him as dead even though they are acknowledging signora as dead, but I don't necessarily know if he's definitively coming out this region.

So I'm at the point where the early-mid region has me feeling 'okay' and I think my major happiness with the region will be more clear if/when they release silhouette roadmap after 7.3(presuming it happens this region).

Final note! I actually got a paid interview survey from Hoyo again. The last time I remember getting this was Natlan a couple weeks after Chasca release. I do wonder if there's been some global versus EN player interest fall off with Genshin late region. The survey was super focused on player retention/player return questions, so maybe they're trying to gauge what actually inspires people to come back to the game after taking a break. I told them releasing characters I actually like mattered a lot for me, with tall men specifically being my big draw.

Ill get this out of the way: Im very damn convinced they're not releasing Val as a 4 star.

Now, we got some sus leaks out there saying

Mitya is a flexible main DPS/off fielder and has the stellar linchpin

Tsaritsa is flexible as either offield stellar(both reactions) and onfield(stellar conduct with Mitya).

I know some people here are convinced that Val is gonna be main DPS but the reality is I wouldn't be shocked at all if he's a shielder unit.

1. Both Wrio and Sandrone want shielders, hoyo could have EASILY made Alyo a shielder but made him a healer instead which isn't exactly what wrio/Sandrone want. It would make sense to keep alyo a healer so as to not mess too much with the value of hoyo dropping a 5 star shielder for sale that would be a great pickup for Sandrone/Wrio.
2. our dude Val clearly has a shield + shield animations for prerelease content.
3. No other electro/cryo characters are being teased as sustain.

Like if you're gonna throw Danica/Mitya/Tsaritsa/Val in my face and say 'which one is the shielder' while I already am aware Val is being designed to have a shield and uses his shield for incoming combat sequences, feels like it isn't a stretch at all that he may be the first masculine sustain we've gotten after Zhongli.

Also Im saying 'hes sustain' but I bet he does great off-field damage just like Ineffa does.

But I want to point out a neat thought for tall male fans:

Given Val's vision isn't confirmed to be a linchpin but leakers are saying Mitya is linchpin + 5 star ... there's a possibility Val simply doesn't have a linchpin.

Which means its very possible he will be able to act as an electro sustain for a wide variety of teams, like Varka's electro version and Wrio/Mitya for stellar conduct. With Wrio you may need off fielder Mitya or future tsaritsa to make the team do stellar.

Anyway I think that's hella cool.

Valerie actually being an electro shielder that can work inside of and outside of stellar reactions would follow the pattern of hoyo wanting more flexible use out of the newer off field characters compared to lunar. Unlike Ineffa who is only lunar charge and Lauma who is meant for lunar bloom, Odette is being designed for both stellar swirl and stellar conduct. Vody is probably in deep beta right now and now kit details are coming out, and leakers are saying she has an "applies hydro" form and a "stellar swirl" form that wont do any water application(meaning her "applies water" form may be a boon for Varka fans that want an upgrade to his water team -- Vody was just teased as having both healing and IR which is screaming 'varka upgrade' from the mountain top).

Anyway.... just thought that was super cool. I think Val as a flexible 5 star electro shielder would be a huge boon for husbando players.

7.0 achievement spoiler, some dottore vs signora talk

Saw >!on signora sub that you can get an achievement for collecting her moths at her snez grave. And the achievement reads: 'last rose of winter ... the last moth is ultimately consumed by flames' ... really reads like the writers are letting the signora go -- particularly when you add that to all the harbinger lines acknowledging her death.!<

Meanwhile >!a lot of dottore related is kept ambiguous. Neither of the two playable NK harbingers voicelines acknowledge him being dead, no one got an 'update line' for his death the way arlecchino just got an update line for sandrone. Theres tons of lore hints about reassembling a split soul. Genshin social media is teasing him 'being judged.' I gotta think dottore not getting the signs of story closure while signora IS has gotta means there are definite plans for him.!<

So more good news I guess? Feel bad for our signora main comrades though. Hugs for any signora fan reading this. I was rooting for her.

Working on chapter 4 of the Dottolone fanfic and I'd love some ideas for possible Dottore experiments. I got most of the multiple segments working on their own projects.

Writing the second chapter of my Dottolone fic and I realized Im not entirely sure when Dottore started making clones.

Did he literally start doing it when he was preteen with his youngest clone(was it 7 or 10), or was he somehow able to replicate younger versions of himself when he created the technology during an older age?
