Buffy the Vampire Slayer....

Ha, I'm rewatching "This Episode Sucks" - I always enjoyed that Kristy Swanson was in it (and future episodes) but just realized the true genius of casting her... the original Vampire Slayer, in this role, and in the episode about vampires.

Pure GENIUS!!!!!! <3

What is going on/eating my roses!?!?

I literally don’t see any bugs, not aphids or mites or ANYTHING.

Here is the most recent picture of my new rose bush. I’m sorry I don’t remember the exact kind but can get that in the morning.

This rose bush lived in its original container for about 3 weeks before I planted it.

There was NOTHING (seemingly) wrong w it when it went in the ground (can answer any questions).

Within three weeks: this is now the status.

I sprayed for bugs/mites whatever a week ago; just sprayed again tonight thinking that might be the cause (spray says it’s good for roses) - can tell you brand in the morning if asked.

I don’t have high hopes this plant will survive but I 100% don’t want this to spread to my other roses…. Which I think it might be (sprayed them too, again, today). It was getting very dark out so no pics of the other bushes but I can take/send them in the morning. Some of them are thriving…. Some are starting to look like this… 😞

Any thoughts on cause? Is this bugs???? Is this chemical burn?

Anybody have a gut reaction to the cause of this?

Notes:

  • this is in a full sun location (was in full sun before it was planted as well)
  • this plant hasn’t had any fertilizer (from me, 6weeks)
  • this plant is watered ~ 2-3 times a week depending on rain
  • used a mixture of top soil, perlite, peat moss in planting

Any thoughts would be helpful!

I thought these were weeds, now it's a tree

These things keep popping up by the water. I always thought they were tiny shrubs but one went crazy for a few years and now it's a big tree. What is this? Is this and alder or a birch or something? Located in Southeast Michigan

Donald Trump’s visit to the Chippewa County will be at Custer Farms!

It’s going to be a private event and they do not want this information to be known. Just thought I’d spread the word. Maybe spread the word around social media so they’re forced to relocate last second.

Edit: found this link for Chippewa Valley Indivisible’s Protest

Anybody else starting to get really ANGRY at individuals, especially POCs, that say the Cheeto in office is great?

I am at my breaking point. How do these…… undereducated people (I assume) continue to believe that trump is the greatest thing since sliced bread!?!?!! (And no I’m not saying at all that poc or even not poc are undereducated- just an example from today.)

He’s actively working against all of us- for HIS bottom line.

I just… Is some of our population really this stupid?

I went to the local organic egg place, they are a Hispanic family. Entire property littered w signs like ‘this is trump country’.

WTF!?!?!?? He’s actively working against you and “your kind” - and you still, STILL!?!?!?! Like him!?!?

I know this has been an ongoing battle for a decade, but…. I guess I just expected some lightbulbs to be going off at this point????

Sorry but: HOW STUPID ARE THESE PEOPLE!?!?!

I do actually come w a request, rather than just a rant: how can I help “elevate” their knowledge , or just give them basic facts, to try to open their eyes!?!?

I’m in a suburb of MPLS btws - it’s not like this hasn’t been front and center going all the way back to George Floyd and obvs the MURDERS the government did this early spring.

I am venting. And honestly disgusted and perplexed by this. I would really love some thoughts because this crisis is actionable, nationally imo. So any little thing I can do: please let me know.
