[OC] my prep post blew up more than I ever thought it would. Questions on how I see over the monitor. Here is a video of part of our game last Saturday.

In the video my player casts fireball on a wooded ship. You can see the outcome as I am using knock off camera glasses to record my perspective during the campaign. It’s something I’m going to do more of. Various role playing to battles and all the fun stuff in between. I’m working on my mic setup a bit better but so far it’s worked well. Hopefully you can see how easily I am able to see over the screen while manipulating the game props and playing the game with my friends. If you have any questions please ask.

My lantern corps art and collectibles.

Finally starting to re build my collection. Started with the Blackest Night Omnibus. I get asked a lot where I got the light up symbols from. The artist is no longer in business due to being unable to keep up with demand. But he did amazing work.

Turned my office into a man cave. Work in progress

Built a custom VTT for my d&d group to sit 6 and a DM comfortably. Under mounted gaming PC and speakers. Power ran to each side for easy connection. Easily converts to be able to play regular board games. Built out my console gaming/media area. Put in a hobby desk for painting minis and cleaning my firearms/paintball gear which is all in a locked closet behind the bookshelf curtain. Put in a reading nook with a couch on wheels so I can easily move it to in front of the tv to watch movies or sports. Added lighted cabinets for my favorite nerd stuff and minis. Small board game collection. Put sound proofing in the room to help the echo. Added overhead led light cloud for atmosphere when playing. I still have more to do. LED lights around the gaming area and reading areas etc. I am pretty happy with how the room has turned out so far.

15 months in and have the most consistent twitch yet

Hey y’all. Been at this bfs thing for about 15 months. I’ve got a new one that’s interesting. Left leg from my hamstring to my toes feels like someone is strumming a guitar. Constant. I’ve had calf twitches, ham string twitches, arms, face, back, butt, everything. Comes and goes. This one has been constant. Anyone get this twitch before? Fun times.

C5-7 left arm pain, numbness, weakness. What helped you.

Third bout with this situation. But this time pain won’t fully leave, I’m getting progressive weakness, and persistent numbness in finger and thumb with fluctuating whole arm numbness.

I’ve been back in PT for 4 weeks now. But it’s not resolving the situation. My next specialist appointment isn’t until late July. But the symptoms are persisting and in some cases getting worse. Is there anything that helped any of y’all alleviate.

Doc hopes the shot will help. But another 6 weeks is going to be hard.

Just hit 3 years. 35k miles.

Bought my VB 3 years ago this week. I bought it to be able to fit my new born daughter’s car seat in, have room for me, my son, and my wife as well. It’s been the best grocery getter, errand runner, family fun vehicle I’ve ever owned. Now it’s the only vehicle my 3 year old wants to take. She loves when I hit boost and her giggles are everything. I know my color combo is polarizing. But I love it. Silver accents on the sapphire blue looks sharp in person. Still need to replace my front lip. Option lab blue wheels, nameless muffled cat back with burnt tips. H&R springs. I hope everyone is enjoying their cars as much as I do.

C5-7 questions.

Hey y’all. Been dealing with c5-7 issues for about 15 months now. First in march 2025 I sung a golf clubs and had immediate shoulder pain. Thought it was that but turned out I bulged my c5-7. Did my first round of physicals therapy which helped everything. Then slept wrong in November. Significant shoulder and arm pain on the left side. Again physical therapy helped.

Cut to 4 weeks ago. Change in job made me have to look down a lot and something about that really aggravated my neck. This time physical therapy hasn’t cured it. Unlike last time, this go round I have significant pain, numbness, and weakness in my left arm through hand. Pt helped, but not fully. And now I’m having strength issues through the whole arm. The weird one though is it feels like I jammed my ring finger. Pain spikes when I use it or squeeze. Everything else made sense. But not this one.

I’m scheduled with the spine specialist late July.

Anyone ever experience that. Sure the pain and numbness sucks. And the weakening muscles suck. But this one is strange.

Thank you for any insight.

The DIY table is working exactly as I hoped.

Started DMing to take full use of the table I built. Making tweaks each time. I think, outside of building a dm screen to hide the monitors it’s pretty much done.

[OC] DMing for the first time.

I built the ultimate gaming table I might as well use it. I’ve had this homebrew idea in my head for years so I said why not. I think reached out to several old gaming friends and asked their interest. We just completed session two and the feedback has been great. I used to love creative writing and this lets me do that on a totally different scale. Wish I would have done this so long ago. For the setup I am using dynamic dungeons map editor on my left screen which displays the gaming map to the table. On my primary screen I’ve got d&dbeyond for my player characters, initiative builder, NPC info, and notes. Not in the photo is my dice setup on my right side and my tablet controlling scene music.

I genuinely love building this story out with my players. And they have been super engaged in the role play, story, and battles from the start.
