Thoughts and observations from this past week

6/28-7/4. Beach Club. Overall a great trip. Very crowded.

The good:

Cast members still go above and beyond, the magic is still there for us. My wife is in a wheelchair and they are so accommodating and helpful.

Premier pass is great. We did MK twice, Epcot and HS once and it was great. Very smooth. Well worth it.

Lightning lanes are so worth it. I can’t imagine waiting in some of these lines

The weather was fantastic.

Guardians is still the best ride on the planet and 5 of the 6 songs are top notch.

Roundup Rodeo is still fantastic. Though I still miss the fried pickles.

Beach club is a great hotel. Kitchen sink is top tier.

Whispering canyon was a great experience. Having a waitress play the part was so good. She did great.

The bad:

They still oversell after hours parties. We should not have 40 min waits on after hour parties

YouTubers, ugh. Some of the worst people in the parks.

Tiana. the redo is still a travesty. No Dr Falicier is a huge mistake. The animatronics are very broken.

I’m lucky enough where I don’t have to worry too much about the prices, but man is it getting expensive.

World showcase needs to go back to 11pm close. I know people ruined it but 9pm sucks.

The ugly:

People who eat on top of garbage and then get mad when I put my garbage in the can where they are eating really suck.

They need to fix the Guardians queue. People don’t know how to act.

Parents. Watch your damn kids. This is not your personal playground for them to run amok.

If you’re gonna watch the World Cup on your phone, that’s cool but maybe don’t do it at full volume on The American Adventure show.

Hi All, I was hoping you could help. DE issue

I have a Hayward DE filter. I cleaned the grids yesterday. Inspected them and the manifold. added 6 pounds of DE per the label on the front. Ran the pump for an hour, all good. Saw a leak at the o ring. I turned off the filter and opened the air valve to get the top off to tighten things up. As soon as I turned it back on, DE poured out of the return jets and the Pool got incredibily cloudy. Clearly DE got in the return lines. Did I do something wrong by taking off the lid after an hour? I've run the filter all night and there is so much DE on the floor of the pool. I vaccumed some up this morning and it was good, but tehn turned on the filter again and more is accumulating. Does this sound just like a grid or manifold issue? anyone seen DE pour out of returns like that? thanks in advance.
