This is a slightly modified cross post to ask the Defender fans why they didn't choose the Lexus GX550 if you did cross shop those...

I just drove my buddy's GX550 Overtrail Plus for 10 miles. Nothing crazy. Best I can describe it is if an Audi Q7 Premium Plus had a baby with my 2022 Tacoma TRD Off Road and the baby came with the same Falken Wildpeaks on my Tacoma. Does that seem fair?

I wanted to consider a GX550 Lux+ against the Land Rover Defender 110 X (3.0L 6cyl). Specifically a 2027 model with the new captains chairs that I prefer with my two young boys in booster seats.

Lexus GX550 owners go the dependability and brand reliability route. Also the steady value hold of the Lexus.

What say you?

I wanted to consider it against the Land Rover Defender 110. Aside from the Lexus dependability vs Land Rover and leaving alone depreciation, why did you choose the GX550 if you were comparing both options at some point in the last 2 years?

Tomorrow will mark two weeks of ownership with my new 2026 Macan GTS. Put 900 miles on it with a few longer drives that included a lot of highway and then some mountain area roads. I've had A LOT of performance SUVs, so the verdict isn't out on this one yet. I need more time. While I enjoy handwashing my cars, if you do not like seeing ANY imperfections, just pay a pro to come to your house and do it so you can just enjoy the drive and the look from 10+ feet away. Woooosaaaah. Onward!

I'm in the market for a new Macan GTS within 300 miles of southern VA. I am a little picky with color combo and options. I've had 12 saved in the Porsche App for months now priced from $110k - $135k, a large enough range for me to gauge what is and isn't moving. Well, nothing has moved. With it being the last year of the ICE I figured I would see more movement. Anyone with any real insight? Maybe the new market has gone soft? Maybe that price range will get someone a 2-3 year old Cayenne GTS Coupe? Maybe that price range will bring someone a new Cayenne S, at the top of the range? Maybe folks are tired of paying new Porsche pricing and will be patient for a used/CPO 1-4 years old since little to nothing has changed.
