7-8000$

Vous en pensez quoi ? Merci
.

God do have favorite

I want to ask this respectfully with Christians because I’m genuinely trying to understand the logic.

If we take the Bible at face value, doesn’t it seem like God has favorites or at least that He did not treat all peoples equally?

The Jewish people are described as God’s chosen people. Jesus himself was born Jewish, lived among Jewish people, preached primarily to them, and Christianity only later spread to the rest of the world.

So if God loves every human being equally, why reveal Himself so directly to one particular people first?

Those people got prophets, scriptures, covenants, miracles, and eventually Jesus physically living among them. Meanwhile, huge populations elsewhere in the world lived and died without anything close to that level of access.
And surely an all-knowing God would understand that people raised thousands of kilometres away, in completely different cultures with their own religions and traditions, wouldn’t simply abandon everything and accept a foreign religion as soon as missionaries arrived.

I’m not saying this proves Christianity is false. I’m asking how Christians reconcile these two ideas:
God loves everyone equally, but He chose one specific people to reveal Himself to first and gave them a level of direct access that most of humanity never had.

Unless the explanation is that the biblical story was initially written by and for the Jewish people and only later became understood as a universal message, how is that not favoritism?
Genuinely interested in the Christian perspective.

Going to heaven is also about timing ?

If I understand Christianity correctly, anyone who dies without accepting Jesus doesn’t go to heaven and may go to hell.

So doesn’t that make timing incredibly important?
I know of a drug dealer who shot and killed his best friend about 20 years ago. His friend was also a dealer and wasn’t a Christian. If the traditional view is correct, his friend died without accepting Jesus and therefore may be in hell.

The killer, however, spent 20 years in prison, repented, became a Christian, and now tries to bring other people to Christianity. So he may ultimately go to heaven.

That’s what I struggle to understand.
One person happened to die before having the opportunity to repent or change his beliefs. The other person—the one who killed him—had another 20 years to reconsider his life, repent, and accept Jesus.

And what about people who die suddenly in tsunamis, earthquakes, wars, accidents, etc.? If they weren’t Christians at that exact moment, are they simply condemned?

If God is perfectly loving and just, does someone’s eternal fate really depend that much on when they happen to die?

Obviously, none of us knows for certain what happens after death. But is this actually what mainstream Christians believe and preach?

Investir dans un non enregistré ?

Bonjour,

Please answer me as clearly as possible

I have a few genuine questions for Christians. Please answer each one briefly (yes/no when possible) and explain in your own words rather than copying long passages.

1. If a serial killer or former gang member spends 20 years in prison, genuinely accepts Jesus near the end of their life, and then dies, do they go to heaven?

2. If someone faithfully follows Christ for most of their life but loses their faith in their final years and dies before returning to it, do they go to hell?

3. Do you believe eternal conscious torment is just? The idea of a soul suffering forever—literally forever—seems incredibly difficult for me to reconcile with a loving God. Or do you believe hell is simply the end of existence?

4. What about people who die in accidents, wars, or from disease before accepting Jesus? Imagine someone who has heard of Christianity among many other religions but dies before ever seriously examining it or deciding what to believe. Would they go to heaven or hell?

5** If our bodies are ultimately just temporary vessels—we all return to dust regardless of whether we’re tall, short, healthy, or sick—why does Christianity teach the resurrection of the body? Why would our physical bodies matter if our souls are what continue after death?

An almighty loving God should make sure that humanity has a clear message

Let’s suppose for a moment that an all-powerful God really exists, and that he wants every person to understand things like: who he is, what motivates him, the state of humanity, why he sent his Son to die, how salvation works, how we are meant to live, etc. Why would he choose to communicate this through ancient writings and traditions that have only ever reached a small fraction of the people who ever lived? And even among those who do encounter them, there’s no consensus on what they actually mean, especially on the most important issue of all: what someone must do to be saved.

If God’s goal were really to deliver a clear message to every human being, he could have chosen a much better way. For example, he could have written it into our minds from birth, or appeared personally to each person in a dream, in a way that everyone would understand exactly what he means.

Some Christians might say that God’s aim isn’t just to pass along information, but to form relationships with people. That may be true, but even relationships depend on knowing who the other person is and what they want. And a direct revelation wouldn’t interfere with our free will either since we would still be left with the choice to accept or reject Christ, even if the message were crystal clear. Others might argue that God makes himself known generally through nature and creation. But that kind of revelation is so vague that, rather than pointing everyone to the same truth, it often leads people to worship false gods.

My conclusion: Christianity is very likely all made up just like all religions

If an all-powerful God exists and desires all people to know him and be saved, then he would communicate in a way that is clear, universal, and unambiguous. Whether the people are in Asia , Africa or wherever and whether we are in 1500, 2026 or 3500.

The actual mode of communication (ancient texts, traditions, vague impressions of nature) is neither clear nor universal nor unambiguous.

Therefore, the God as described in holy books probably does not exist.

Explain it to me like I’m 5

Do you genuinely believe the stories of Genesis and Noah’s Ark happened exactly as written?
I’m not asking about symbolism, allegory, or metaphorical interpretations.

I mean literally:

A talking serpent speaking to humans.
Adam and Eve as the first two people.
God creating Eve from Adam’s rib.
A global flood covering the entire Earth.
Noah fitting every animal species onto an ark.

Do you believe these events occurred exactly as described in the text? If so, what convinces you that they are historical accounts rather than symbolic stories?

If you don’t take it literally as written , who are you or how do you know that others stories are not metaphorical as well ?

God knows everything right ?

Just a simple thought. I know many Christians will probably disagree or downvote, but I’m genuinely curious to hear honest answers.

  1. Eternal hell is a bit absurd
The idea that hell is eternal feels hard to reconcile with a loving God. Punishment, I can understand. But infinite punishment for finite actions? Why wouldn’t there be some form of redemption or eventual release?

  2. The fairness issue
Let’s say someone commits terrible crimes during their life, but repents right before death and accepts Jesus. According to many interpretations, that person goes to heaven.
Meanwhile, someone else—like a child born in a place where Christianity is almost nonexistent (for example under the Taliban), or someone who dies suddenly without ever having the chance to even consider Christianity—is condemned.
That doesn’t feel like justice. It feels like people are being judged based on circumstances they never chose—where they were born, what they were exposed to, or even just timing.

3- God knows everything right ? So he knows who’s going to be saved or not already before we even live our life ? Did he know a serial killer would become one as soon as he was born ? If so why let him be born .

What’s the point of making humans if so many of us are going to end up in hell ?!! S

I’m not trying to attack anyone’s beliefs, just trying to understand how people reconcile these ideas with the concept of a just and loving God.

“Accept Jesus or suffer forever” feels deeply cruel

One thing I’ve always struggled with is the idea that billions of people could be condemned to eternal hell simply because they weren’t born into Christianity.

Most people don’t choose where they’re born. A huge part of the world grows up in places where Christianity is barely present, or where survival itself is the main concern. Some people spend their entire lives dealing with poverty, war, injustice, violence, hunger, corruption, or oppression. Some die young without ever really having the chance to explore religion deeply at all.

So are all these people just doomed forever because of geography, culture, or circumstances they never chose? I honestly struggle to see how that reflects justice or mercy. It feels harsh.

And another thing that’s difficult for me is how people talk about God answering prayers. Why does God bless some people with health, safety, financial success, opportunities, children, stable lives, etc., while others live through unimaginable suffering from birth to death? Are those people being ignored? Were they simply born on the wrong side of the world?

I come from a place where I’ve seen genuinely unfair things happen. Not minor inconveniences — real suffering. Innocent people crushed by situations they never asked for. So when someone confidently says “accept Jesus or burn forever,” it raises serious questions for me about fairness, mercy, and what justice even means.

And honestly, I don’t even expect perfect answers anymore. What frustrates me more is when people refuse to admit how difficult these questions actually are. Sometimes “I don’t know” would be a far more honest and humble answer than pretending everything is simple and clear.

Because when you’re talking about suffering, eternity, and the fate of billions of human beings, certainty can sometimes sound disconnected from reality.

If God is a trinity created by the Father then the father only should be prayed

Why don’t we just pray the Father / creator ?
Why do we have to involve Holy Spirit , Jesus , Virgin Mary etc

Why exactly don’t you just pray The Father , even if you say Jesus is the way (shouldn’t matter because Jesus and the Father are on the same page)

les commerces vendent moins;
les entreprises ralentissent;
l’économie ralentit;
les revenus baissent;

on veut que nos investissements montent, mais on chiale contre le coût de la vie; on veut des meilleurs salaires, mais pas des hausses de prix;
