Weird Fallout 5 wish, but I hope it happens in a snowy area
Yeah yeah, nuclear winter
But im not going to lie the nuclear winter mods that exist always look so cool
And just imagining a "Northern Ranger" variant of the Desert Ranger would be so cool

I guess you fucking hate me then
Fallout London is great, but Atom do they need to work on what loot is behind high level locks and doors
The amount of time ive opened an expert lock to get a silver spoon, or an advanced locked door to find literally nothing
Drives me nuts
Microwave door has been cracked forever but it has gotten worse
Want to try and fix it before we rip the handle off
[FIXED]
The main thing I would do to expand on the Power Armor system in Fallout 4, would to add Power Armor exclusive weapons
I would make certain weapons exclusive to Power Armor, and possibly Super Mutants. If not exclusive, be heavily hampered outside of Power Armor
The weapons I would do this for would be
Shoulder mounted weapons, not every shoulder mounted weapon, as humans irl can use a rocket launcher with ease. Weapons such as shoulder mounted machine guns/lasers/plasmas, large anti-air shoulder cannons, possibly a heavier version of the flame or Tesla cannon
Large melee weapons, full sized vertibird blade swords, concrete hammers, and fire hydrant hammers
The third category might be controversial, but I personally think how Fallout 4 did them anyways was a flop, but Power Fists. The Fallout 3 and NV Power Fists were some of the best looking Fallout Weapons that have ever existed in my opinion, in Fallout 4 they look like broken construction equipment and I really hate it.
For Power Fists specifically I would use the F3 and NV designs, but scale them up to the size of the F4 Power Armor gauntlets. Have Power Fists, Repulsor Gloves, and Bear Trap Fists be essentially built into the arms of your Power Armor.
This opens up a few interesting options for them, they don't have to be accounted for by your carry weight, as they are apart of the suit, and more interestingly you don't have to worry about a second fist clipping with a Pip-Boy.
Its always been weird to me that every Power Fist is right handed, even when there are some two fisted unarmed weapons (boxing gloves/tape, knuckles, dog tag knuckles).
I think linking Power Fists to Power Armor would be a fun lore addition, and it brings an opportunity to add some of the F1 and F2 style unarmed weapons back as well, keeping them usable outside of Power Armor and keeping them smaller in scale.
I think something that could balance this out is have some weapons also be unusable while in Power Armor, mainly small arms that the mechanical hands realistically wouldn't be able to hold anyways.
I would be curious about any thoughts or concerns with this concept
Saw someone with a pipboy and Vault Tec gear today at the game
Im just assuming that if you dressed up in Fallout gear at a baseball game, you probably go on the reddit
While I actually like most of the features from Fallout 4, the weapon mods, power armor, the multi-piece armor system
The one major thing I dont want to see return in Fallout 5, is the Legendary Item Effects
It feels like something more appropriate in Skyrim than Fallout, and it makes some of the past weapons and armor from Fallout 3 and NV seem lame in comparison
The fact I can find a normal leather chest piece that gives me the effect of the Chinese Stealth Suit is really wild to me
And for weapons, I would prefer an indepth ammo system like NV, instead of finding magic guns that turn things explosive
I think somethings would be fine to keep, fire or energy resistance
Not sure for weapons, I think most Legendary effects feel more like Elder Scross enchantments when it comes to the weapons
I remember during my Fallout NV days there was a semi-popular fan theory that the aliens from Mothership Zeta were the ones who launched the nukes.
With the show, I have seen a lot of speculation on who shot first but its seems the only names being thrown out are the US/Enclave, China, or Vault Tec.
Is this just a dead fan theory? I'm kinda shocked that it hasn't shown up a bit more, especially with (spoiler) the alien falling out of the fridge in the show.
So the aliens are definitely canon to everything going on
I gave him a gun, but he only wants to use random melee weapons, because he's a kid, is that all he can use?
Looking for a "settle anywhere" style mod that let's me settle anywhere
Im specifically trying to build outside the hideout, but im having issues finding mods that work with Fallout London and let me do this
I tried Settle Anywhere! but it ended up renaming a lot of the fast travel locations
Realistically im not trying to settle in random places across London, I just want to build outside the Hideout
So I went with a base stat total of 39, because that would be one less than the player character, and oddly it was the average of all the human companions anyways
I did this mostly because I don't like how Rex was mechanically smarter than some of the human characters
I bolded the values that I changed, I chose what I pushed up or down based on how I think that companion should play if they were the player character, and based on their personalities and lore in game. Example: Raul is a gun-slinger, so he should need the stats to be able to shoot quickly and accurately.
I would imagine that some of the companions would get an additional stats based on their quests, Rex's special stats should change depending on which brain you give him, and Boone might get a small bump to charisma if you help him with his mental health journey.
Just thought I would share
(there is zero use of Ai in this, the mod bot flagged me when i posted this)
Im talking the ones with the gun controllers, alien and terminator are some of the ones ive played
Im curious if they are juat quarter stealers or not
Specifically Omochao, I feel like before I use to use Omochao and just be able to drive off road, I dont feel like this ability is triggering anymore
I cant find any documented change on this though
Finishing up a NV play through, and im going to do Fallout London next
I saw there are some mod lists on the nexus, but is there a popular suggested list?
I usually download as many weapon mods as I can when I play Fallout 4, but I do want to generally have a "vanilla" Fallout London experience
With the possible exception of the mod that adds Power Armor
Playing Lonesome Road for the first time as an adult
And God so I wish there were speech options to yell at Ulysses "YOU WERE IN THE LEGION, WHERE DO YOU GET OFF SCOLDING ME?!"
Couriers are essentially postmen
Postmen famously do NOT know what they are delivering
Even if Courier 6 delivered a detonator that set off the nukes in the divide, that is factual not their fault
And Ulysses is so mad you blew up this town by accident, complaining about how the NCR has boarders and that sucks
My postbrother, the first thing you learn the Legion does is PURPOSEFULLY killed an entire town leaving one survivor
The second and third thing we learn about the Legion is that they are slavers and rapists
I think he's a great villian depending on how you role play, and the amount of rizz he has aesthetically rivals Joshua
But God damn he's like the Fallout Joker sometimes
So first off, I love Fallout and I'm not saying the franchise is bad, or needs to make some sort of declarative statement. I just think that its a conversation worth having.
I did a bit of looking around and didnt find any first hand account from any native people on the subject, and me being a white person am not going to claim to be an expert on anything on the subject.
But it does seem to me the depiction of native cultures in Fallout isn't the greatest. I know that terms like "savage" and "tribal" have been used as insults to native people and communities for most of American history.
However in continuity, it seems one of those words is only used by characters who are supposed to be showing some sort of bias or xenophobia.
It seems that "tribal" in Fallout is not used as a negative, and more of a description of non-capitalist cultures, not sure if thats a good or a bad thing. Probably a bit of both.
In NV particular (as I have not played F1 or F2) there seems to be some native inspired designs, mostly in Honest Hearts. Honest Hearts is really what made me think about this representation/reference to native cultures to begin with. As much as I like the plot of HH, it is a bit difficult to ignore the two mormon missionaries trying to control 2 tribes of people, who are clearly inspired by native people.
Not sure where the line is between representation, appropriation, or racist stereotypes.
I would be interested in other people's thoughts
Just got back from McDonald's, and at first I saw they missed giving us our sauce, so no big deal, just pulled around and went inside
When I was inside I saw at least 2 other people who had their orders messed up, they were also pretty upset because there wasn't really anyone to talk to, everyone seemed to be kitchen staff with no one up front
When we got home we saw that they actually messed up our food too
Ordered a double quarter pounder meal, and a deluxe McCrispy
What we got was a single patty bacon cheese, and a McCrispy with only pickle and chicken
Anyone else have similar issues?
So the Super Heated variant of the Saturnite Fist isn't glowing, and it looks identical to the base Saturnite Fist
Ive turned off and on about a dozen mods, and I cannot figure out what it causing it
It doesnt seem like a bug with the base game, due to my lack of ability to find anyone else with this issue
Does anyone know a better way to diagnose this problem?
I beat Owb awhile ago, but just noticed the Fist isn't glowing when I gave it to Veronica

I have mods, but nothing i have should be affecting it
