Ipad for live recording of gigs?
Hi all, not sure if this is the right place to ask or not, but has anyone used an Ipad for recording live gigs?
I'm assuming I would need a usb hub to charge the ipad and power the interface, and just take a line out from the mixer?
Will be on a new Ipad air and I have a presonus interface or a focusrite interface.
Any advice appreciated

Home not importing "rooms" from HUE
Basically, I have a kitchen group, dining group and lounge group of lights. The groups used to work perfectly through home, and we could use out speakers throughout the house to turn lights on and off. We had some renovations and moved the whole hue bridge and modem etc, and I had to re set-up everything. Now my google home will only display the individual lights rather than the room. I can't figure it out and would love any advice

What would you guys recommend? I won't be able to try anything (small country smaller town) so I'm buying blind.

A friend is clearing out some guitars for his dad. He's a bass player so he asked me for some advice. I worked in a guitar shop for a decade so I can help with most of his gear.
But what is this? It looks like a studio, but has binding. Any idea of a value? We are in new zealand

Heatpump needs to drop by 12mm - something our builder could do?
Hey all, my FIL (lbp) is doing some renovations for us. We are putting a new ceiling over the shitty old ceiling, but would love advice on dropping the heatpump. Has anyone installed one and could give us advice? He doesn't want to go mucking with it without an idea on how to do it.

Does anyone run a Blackstar JJN 50?
There isn't a heap of videos on it, but I am curious if anyone uses one for harder rock. When pushing it does it get flabby? Does it tighten up nicely with an overdrive?

It ticks a lot of boxes and it is currently $800 off in my country. I thought I was keen on a Marshall JVM205h but it uses a midi footswitch which won't work with my switcher (and I'll be too broke to replace).

I mainly play punk (old hardcore and 90s skate) and do a 90s 00s rock covers band. My metal days are long gone.

Just swapped out a v30 (chinese) for a g12t-75
Won't get to use it until tomorrow, but wanted to check the ohms.

Its a 16 ohms cab, and the internet said they should be 8 ohms speakers. Does that sound right?

Local plumbing store has a bath on clearance but it has "no upstands". Are there other options for water tightness?
Apparently they have no way of retrofitting via the supplier, but mentioned tiling. Tiling sounds expensive and c**ty. Anyone with experience have any other ideas?
The plan is to put in a larger shower of bath in our small property, and this particular bath says its designed for shower over bath. Its a Solace 1800 with some marks on it so its on clearance

Giggers - help me find an extension mic stand like the Hercules dg137 but with length adjustment
I have just installed a pedalboard mounted mic stand to lessen my foot print and need an attachment to connect my Ipad holder to it. The DG137 is perfect EXCEPT it has no length adjustment. I have gone through the brands I can think of but can't find anything similar.
Any suggestions?

Handlebar bag blocking my light - how to solve
I run an Enfitnix navi1600 but now it is getting blocked by my new waterproof bag (options limited in New Zealand).
Does anyone know of a mount that could go through the hole by the forks? Something that went to a little bar so I could mount the light underneath?
edit thanks someone mentioned the hole is called the fork crown and now I can find solutions around that. Cheers all!

I have a neighbour, I'll refer to him as dick. Dick, despite being a "follower of god", does not love thy neighbour, and only loves himself. He has a tendency of blasting music, at random times of the day and night. It could be 5pm on a Friday, fair enough, or it could be 4am on a tuesday, not fair enough. No matter how many times I have spoken to dick over the last few years, civil or not, he really couldn't care less. It wakes up my wife and kids, it causes me to operate heavy machinery on 3-4 hours sleep. I'm about to pop off to work for a 12 hour shift in a 60 tonne machine, moving 30 tonnes containers on 4 hours sleep because they refuse to turn it off, or down.
Are Bluetooth jammers a viable option to f**k with him? Where can I get one? Are they even legal? What else can I do to get under dicks skin?
