First time poster, first time builder. Bought a 100w panel, an inline 20 amp fuse and victron pwm to trickle charge a 100ah LiFePO battery connected to a meccer inverter. My initial goal was to learn the basics of solar panels at a relatively safe voltage and hopefully upgrade as cash becomes available.

Literally a week after setting it up, my area was hit by a once in a 25 year storm, which has knocked out a 66kv line and sent the the power out for 9 days (and counting). If it wasn’t for my set up, myself, my family members would have not been able to keep our basic devices charged and power the modems for over a week now.

Thank you to the awesome community here, I never would have been able to do it without the info I found here, and would love to hear your advice on upgrading my set up for future use
