Context: the cat entered the house and hid in my room, I had to chase and tempt it with leftover chicken breast and put it for her outside the house, today, my mother heard meows from upstairs so I went to check and found this tiny kitten, I put cloves on and I put it outside so it’s mother knows it isn’t safe, but it’s mother grabbed it and ran back upstairs and hid in the same corner. I gave the cat a bowl of water but I couldn’t feed her since we didn’t have any leftovers sadly.

The tiny kitten still has the cord thingy (I know it’s name but I can’t spell it ambelacl umbelacl idk) but it’s completely dried up and it doesn’t have any blood on it and it can moves kinda, the mother cat’s behind seems wet but she can jump high (it entered the house from the outside door’s window)

The cat seems very friendly and used to people (it had let me pick it up and touch its belly and I was next to the kitten but she didn’t fight me, my guess is that the owners abandoned her.

Sadly, I can’t keep them for personal reasons and can’t take them to vets because they’re pretty expensive where I live, but I want to help them if my mom allows me to, would appreciate your advice (ex: if I should give them a blanket, foods they can eat, things to avoid, if you can tell how old the kitten is, stc…)

I had a few cats in the past (including a newborn kitten its mother abandoned) but it always ends up tragic.
