Scared for my dad

My dad was diagnosed in 2022 and he’s had a lot of up and downs and has always kept such a positive attitude.. like truly blows our mind how he overcomes so much with his positive attitude.

But now after 2 strokes, losing his job and his lung disease progressive quickly this year he’s really struggling mentally but really doesn’t like to show it.

I live 3 hours away so I come into town only once a month on the weekend

Last time I was there he was on 3L of oxygen at rest and now he’s up to 12L at rest with my step mom having to plug in two machines when he has to get up to go to the rest room she has to get him on 25L.
She said it’s progressing so fast and he developed the IPF cough that has been miserable for him.

She has so much anxiety at night with him coughing and thinking he’s choking or running out of oxygen.

So scared for him, sad for him that he’s struggling so much and nothing I can do to help.

Whack ass rider

Saturday around 9:45am Austin Texas
*Before I started recording* this couple that was just cruising along and then this whack ass dude in the red helmet shows up trying to direct them while In their lane and he slams on his brakes in front of them because they weren’t following his directions almost causing the couple and 18 wheeler to collide so I started recording.

when I started recording, he got back in their lane is swerving in and out while the three of them are in the same lane and he’s still trying to direct them on riding with him and they’re telling him to “move along” and then he’s basically harassing this 18 wheeler AND the 18 wheeler swerved into his lane!

I tried to drive in between to separate the couple from this guy and then he’s going 20 under the speed limit directing cars so he can try and hang back with this couple!

Insane driving!
putting so many people in danger!

First appointment with OBGYN🫠

Last year I had a an appointment with my primary doctor to tell them about how I’ve been feeling, and I thought it was thyroid or hormonal issues when my doctor mentioned it sounded like endometriosis, and she set me up with a referral to a gynecologist..

Welllll I pushed it off for a whole year

Finally called to schedule and the next available was 4 months. Which was today

The doctor immediately said “ if you’re having pain and heavy bleeding well then what do we do about it? Birth control. To slow the bleeding, will slow the pain” she said if you’re bleeding heavy and you’re in pain, then you have to do something about it and what is that it’s birth control

I immediately looked a bit discouraged.

She asked me when the last time I was on birth control and I said 2008 and I had a really bad reaction to it was bleeding even heavier and was depressed from it and she said that birth control has gotten a lot better and then I need to pick one

I mentioned the doctor saying it sounded like Endo
She said “if it’s Endo or some kind of fibroids in there then guess what they’re gonna do? intervention first..which is birth control and if that doesn’t work then surgery, but they are not going to do anything until you try something”

Luckily, She ended up scheduling me an appointment for an ultrasound with the hospital.

End of an era

After 8 years of rescuing and rehabbing chickens
We finally got down to our last two.. our Rooster Roscoe and Hen Tiger.

We came up with a decision of either adding more and continuing the cycle or placing them with a sanctuary.

After all of the death, sickness and gross shit we’ve experienced over the years we wanted to end on a happy note.

They joined a large sanctuary with TONS of chickens, roosters, ducks, turkeys, guineafowls.

I’m so happy for them but I’m also feeling the grief of them no longer being around and my routine that has revolved around them for so long.

Here’s some pictures of the chickies from over the years💞
