I don't think I have ever been so excited for a hardware launch that I am not even necessarily going to buy. (I am considering the frame)
It might be because of the hopium for a certain game to be revealed alongside the new hardware launch but I find myself thinking about these products every day and what they will bring to the table in the future.
What was the longest gaming session of your life?
I remember doing like 16 hours of Witcher 3 in one sitting when I built my first proper gaming PC in 2015. I literally pissed in a drinking glass and dumped it out the window to not wake my parents in the night. That was awesome.
I did play games on computers and consoles way before that a ton but I never had had a real gaming computer so it was a trip to finally buy one with my own money. I had these parts
-i5 4690k
-R9 290 Tri X
-8GB DDR3
-1TB HDD
Did they have him open the case and use these items in their original vision or was it just an easter egg for the players who would no clip their way in there?
What made you switch to, or switch away from Bazzite? (or some other atomic distro)
I just jumped from Windows to Bazzite and I was just wondering the pros and cons of staying on it in the long term vs some other open but stable distro. I don't like installing all my stuff again and again.
I mainly use my pc for gaming (obviously) and some video editing but I wonder if in the future something like having to install a bit more niche piece of software or game modding is going to be a pain because of the atomic nature of the OS.
The existence of Crowbar Collective's Black Mesa stands as a testament to the original game series's greatness because only the most passionate and committed fanbase could conjure up such an incredible remake with like 2 decades of developement time.
I can't come up with another game series that has anything similar to this.
I don't care what anybody says, this looks sick as hell and I'm glad we have new cool ways to enjoy these older gems like HL1.
